Yes, if they think that all those seats west of London that they lost last time around are just itching to vote blue again they are very much mistaken.

Once people realise that Schengen just means they can travel without being checked at the border, they won't dislike it so much.

Freedom of movement and Schengen are not toxic issues although the media treat them as such. IMO FoM is the best model for immigration and it is certainly much better than what we have had since 2020.

If there was some demographics on the polling, it might be feasible to join with the expectation that the majority would not be opposed to the single currency in 10-20 years time. I don't think younger people really care, money is just a number. The oldies who like their cash do though

Worse for me is when they have to do a question showing that an equation/identity is true and they start of stating the equation and then work under both sides, keeping the = between them, even though they don't know they are equal yet.

Here's today's column on the astonishing, ongoing mistreatment of people with #ME/CFS. Please spread it far and wide: the only thing which can break the media's wall of indifference is seeing an article about the issue go viral. Thank you. 1/2 www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...

Abandoned, dismissed and gaslighted: there is no excuse for the way ME sufferers have been betrayed | George Monbiot
Changes in guidance and science seem to have little impact on millions of devastated lives. It’s a social crisis playing out behind closed doors, says Guardian columnist George Monbiot

It looks a bit like 94/95 (great squad, high scoring, early win over WBA at home in the sun, team looking confident). I don't think we will have the (ridiculous) number of injuries that stopped us going up automatically that season.

Love Fer Lopez's pointing to the badge celebration after scoring against WBA in front of the north bank, just like David Kelly in 94. #wwfc

Yes I think we need a proper tidy up of everything before asking the question. Off the top of my head: electoral reform, press regulation, spending caps, making the result null and void if join cheat or requiring a replay if stay out cheat. Might take a while.

"For some reason the Americans wouldn't touch it." The UK's Ocean Software, though, happily turned an Oscar-winning film about the hell of war into a hit computer game. And the conflicted critical responses it got are fascinating. New post on Platoon, the game: www.superchartisland.com/platoon

At just about every level of society, on a like for like basis the English (with a relatively low life expectancy for Western Europe) comfortably outlive the Americans. Why? The NHS, yes, but also better food and workplace safety standards, a stronger welfare safety net, less reliance on cars etc.

I wish they would have left the useful objects (+the obligatory red herring) glowing in, as well as eliminating enemies that do not re-spawn by touching them when carrying the appropriate object, in the sequels.

Yes, we have had a student not get the mark because of this (despite answering the rest of the question perfectly). You need decimals or equivalent fractions in order to do the comparison.

The last three sub-parts on AQA AS FM P1 on geometry of complex numbers got an average of 0.1 marks each. That's to 1sf so maybe even lower. I don't see the point in them setting questions that almost no-one is able to answer. Mostly very good papers though.

Free movement is not unpopular among the population as shown by many opinion polls. It is only the loud anti-EU media and politicians who make it a problem. If only the government would bother to explain why it is actually the best model we could have for immigration.
