Like I say in the canny, VRCLVs cant affect imposters, default fallback avatars, or older avatars. Lots of us update our avatars often, but not everyone. I only use Light volumes v1 in worlds, and even then the adoption rate is probably 80%. What are the lighting methods from Owen you recommend?

Baked light probes are the way that VRChat avatars are lit, period. Currently the only way of effecting them is through enlighten, a long depreciated system

Like I said, unfortunately there's no way for you to set the lighting from arealit, it's decided by a material in-world If you did a lighting slider it would just be emission and that would be gross

Arealit is a projector, it's like dumping slime on the outside of your avatar. It doesn't talk to your shader much at all, there's no way to fine-tune it from your side. If you ignore it completely you'll be pitch black in venues that use it.

The standards some hold this platform to are truly unreal. All organizations are messy disasters on the best of days. The thing we love about VRC is uploading heaps of largely unscrutinized data, it's not curated. Some staff doing their best, moving the needle is the most you can hope for sometimes.

The Gaylord is so special💗 If it's katsu, you can never move it, the prestige of the space IS the con. Not the case for MAG, which has a unique soul that can work anywhere. Most of the 'convention block' hotel rooms are already a 15min commute. Maybe DC proper is too $$ but I think it would be worth

The problem is that most venues prefer unspacialized stereo sound. but with Avpro you can't split up the audio channels into multiple stereo mixes, only 1 stereo and many mono. I have a ~3yr old event where we did two mono streams, one for each dj, but the updated one used two separate players.

The price is crazy low, I thought it would be at least 2k🍁 and they didn't even skimp on the RAM. I'm sure we'll find out later what they had to shave off to get it that low, but it's looking like an obvious choice in a post-meta landscape.

Address software before you address hardware 💗 a few hours reinstalling windows goes a long way~ 🔆 If ever there was a time to upgrade instead of buy full, it's now~ Try and tell if VTS maxxing CPU or maxxing GPU. Upgrading the CPU/Mobo/RAM but keeping the GPU, or viceversa will let you spend more!!

This is just a pet peeve of mine, and largely ignored online 🌸 but don't use logos of organizations you're not affiliated with when you're marketing your own product/event etc. 🌟 A logo isn't just a cooler way to write the name of something, it's a sign of connection, a seal of collaboration~
