I made a matrix keyboard like this for EVE using a POS terminal in 2012💗 KB enthusiast sites listed systems that happened to use use CherryMX. You could use 1x2s/2x2s like this to make emphasis buttons to slam. There were also 'blockers' to rest your fingers on~ The drivers were annoying to get tho
