For scale on the Russian side. The deal promises 500,000 tons in November and another 1 million tons immediately thereafter. Trump lifted sanctions on Russian diesel until April 7, 2027 (via Treasury's General License 135) to make it happen. Even so, analysts called it a "nothing burger." The U.S. exports about 1.5 million barrels of diesel a day, so 2.25 million barrels is barely 16 hours worth of the fuel the country moves.
