Over the weekend we got to attend the Member Preview and Founding Member Party for the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art. It was an amazing experience getting to see so many inspiring and iconic works of art all housed in a building that itself is a work of art.

Why there's a resonance at 15.5kHz in Peter Gabriel's Sledgehammer?
It's around -70dB, so not audible I think.
As far as I know its a great mix and master, so I'm curious about why is it there, and why they leave it in there. Also if my eyes aren't deceiving me, it goes throughout the song. I know, its not a big deal at all, I'm just asking for if anyone has an idea about it

There was likely a CRT TV on in the studio. It was recorded in England, so PAL, which means a flyback transformer operating at 15.625kHz.

Cool to see that Fuse hasn’t been forgotten to gaming history. Development on that game was a wild ride. First time working with a publisher that wasn’t Sony. First time working on an Xbox title. First time working in Wwise. And, of course, the controversial tonal shift from “Overstrike” to “Fuse”.

Got to attend a screening of Dune Part 2 tonight. It was fun getting to experience the film again on the big screen and to hear the wonderful sound design and score in Dolby ATMOS. Plus there was a great Q&A afterwards with Denis Villeneuve and Hans Zimmer that was moderated by Ludwig Goransson.

Great advice for discrete channel mixing from the great Randy Thom. In stereo you could even automate a filter if your source was too steady on the low end. Dynamics. #sounddesign #gameaudio
