Well that was frustrating. Not clinical in the final third, but our build up play was often very sharp. If this is how we're playing now, with a new coach and new players, we'll be fine, but we really should have won that. Olivia Garcia looks dangerous, can't wait for her to bed in. #BHAFC

Also, thank christ Kiko earned us a draw at the death against our B team. I know it'll take time for Arturo to get us playing how he wants, but no matter the coach we should have gotten something out of this match. And we did. Here's hoping we also get something out of Villa next. #BHAFC

Not convinced of the latter, and a coach worth their salt should be able to find ways to compensate as every player's attributes will change throughout their career. I feel like we have a better balance now between youth and experience, so it'll be interesting to see how Fabian makes the most of it.

Saw someone on reddit say we shouldn't be starting Lewis Dunk in 2026. I disrespectfully disagree. They would have fucking hammered us were it not for him. Malick unquestioningly the player of the match, but we'd have been in real trouble without the captain today. #BHAFC

Haven't heard officially, but seems as though he's been training with them. And yeah, those interviews were awful, he must have felt the club pulled the rug out from under him in some respects. In his letter to us he said 'I will keep proving people wrong' and that felt fairly pointed. Oh Solly.

Oh absolutely. That's going to break my heart for a good long time. His leaving interview was painful to watch. I always try my best to think through the club's decisions and try to understand, but I don't think I'll be able to ever agree with that one (or Solly, honestly).

I did watch the highlights and there was a lot to like. It's encouraging seeing Georgi being braver with his shots (though this obviously doesn't negate the need for Tobi to kick on). As for the transfer window I agree completely, having so much uncertainty as the season starts is unfortunate.

I know our choices are limited for now, but I'll be so happy when I no longer see Georgi tasked with leading the line and Mats acting as a full-back. Your last point is also a worry of mine. I know we have a reputation of not standing in the way of big moves, and it's part of why we can attract talented young players (and then sell them for a massive profit), but at some point surely we'll have to start putting our foot down.

This is one of the perspectives that I got to after some sleep. I still hate everything about it, and it breaks my heart (fucking Chelsea, come on man), but you can't deny that he's been as good to us as we've been to him. Still, my preference would have been for him to go literally anywhere else.

It feels unfair that if we don't have an experienced replacement lined up, the pressure of scoring goals in a very busy season falls on the shoulders of a group of young men who are either injured, coming back from injury, or still developing, with their abilities at the top level still unknown.

So many folks have said to keep trusting in Tony, and of course I do, but late striker business doesn't feel ideal (unless there is a replacement sorted). To have Danny at his best and then lose him is hard. I've come to terms with the financial argument, but when I look at the calendar I do worry.
