I think they're bothering to do it because it'd be an easy job for a remake that a lot of people want. I'm not saying easy because I think they're lazy or are doing this solely out of greed. Not every release has to have insane graphical fidelity and be completely different from previous entries.

Yeah but this game is likely being developed in the same way the original was. A lot of this will be asset flipping from P3R (personas, shadows, environment objects, etc.). A large chunk of this game's development was done before it even started. It's an "Early build" but not that early.

Genuinely don't understand how people think it looks that bad lol. I think it looks fine but idk maybe I enjoy slop. Also everyone needs to accept that it'll mostly look like how it does now on release. Once a game gets a reveal trailer it's usually in it's final-ish stage of dev.
