Anna Cassar @oddbohemian.bsky.social · 09/10/2026Britannia Shield sounds like a building society. 000
Anna Cassar @oddbohemian.bsky.social · 09/10/2026Yes I did as usual! I think the heat got to them. Sweet peas disastrous. I usually succeed with both. Such an odd year. 110
Anna Cassar @oddbohemian.bsky.social · 09/10/2026I’d try and speak to people in your new locale, have a rummage around the surgery’s website. And you don’t have to give a reason for moving to a new practice. 010
Anna Cassar @oddbohemian.bsky.social · 09/10/2026My surgery has online systems for ordering medications and having online consultations. Plus Imperial Health Trust sends me blood and scan results. 010
Anna Cassar @oddbohemian.bsky.social · 09/10/2026I’m not downloading the NHS app because of this. Maybe foolish of me? 100
Anna Cassar @oddbohemian.bsky.social · 08/10/2026Oh yes! They’ve let me do this too. Such a thrill!!! In the regular and the recycling section. 000
Anna Cassar @oddbohemian.bsky.social · 08/10/2026Yes that’s what the NHS website says! Can you contact your health authority? Or switch surgeries? Maybe do this after you move? 110
Anna Cassar @oddbohemian.bsky.social · 08/10/2026Oh I am sorry. Ours has taken some getting used to but I’ve managed to dodge around their quirky ways. My brother’s surgery in Surrey closes their website after hours and at lunchtimes 😂😂😂 110
Anna Cassar @oddbohemian.bsky.social · 08/10/2026No no prob. Yes the new shingles vacc is 2-stage I had the old one. It’s age related, no? 110
Anna Cassar @oddbohemian.bsky.social · 08/10/2026I’ve found ringing at about 4.30/5.00 pm quicker to get through. But I tend to book my appts online. Medication requests seem to be automated at 90 days, but I’ve had positive response by emailing surgery to vary dates. Hope this helps! 110
Anna Cassar @oddbohemian.bsky.social · 08/10/2026Ah yes, we can email surgery to request early medication if say going on hols. They’re actually pretty good. Pharmacist has issued emergency packs in the past. I had the shingles vacc a couple of years ago. Also the pneumonia one. Both are one-offs. 220
Anna Cassar @oddbohemian.bsky.social · 08/10/2026Aha! It just seemed such an esoteric subject from these people to tweet to supermarkets, who reply patiently. Bonky-boo. 000
Anna Cassar @oddbohemian.bsky.social · 08/10/2026@danielsugarman.bsky.social interesting post re folic acid (replies switched off, hence this): I’ve been puzzled in recent weeks by X posters requests to supermarkets re (wrongly) perceived addition of folic acid to their products. 100
Anna Cassar @oddbohemian.bsky.social · 07/10/2026And British Home Stores! Used to do great fish & chips. 000
Anna Cassar @oddbohemian.bsky.social · 07/10/2026Just fluffy dressing gown for now. Summer duvet still, fleece throw “in case” tonight. 000
Anna Cassar @oddbohemian.bsky.social · 07/10/2026We got Outstanding from London in Bloom again at the site where I have a raised bed! With 95 out of a possible 100 points!!! 120
Anna Cassar @oddbohemian.bsky.social · 05/10/2026Had my flu one at 5.00pm. That’s all I’m entitled to this year. 010
Anna Cassar @oddbohemian.bsky.social · 05/10/2026Cosmos only got going in last couple of weeks. Most odd. Sweetpeas a disaster. 110
Anna Cassar @oddbohemian.bsky.social · 05/10/2026Dental hygienist cost tomorrow? £71.95. Is that sort of average now? 000
Anna Cassar @oddbohemian.bsky.social · 03/10/2026Is it suiting you? My class is in abeyance: summer refurb of premises not finished (how predictable). 000
Anna Cassar @oddbohemian.bsky.social · 01/10/2026Had to take the protective cover off iPhone this evening to clean it and phone (don’t ask) and again I’m astounded that such a beautiful object, which designers have striven to create, is hidden under an ugly plastic cloak (that we have to pay extra for). 010
Anna Cassar @oddbohemian.bsky.social · 01/10/2026I’m fixed until December and I’ve got a few free hours to use this month. Then it’s fluffy throws while watching TV and electric blanket at bedtime/in the afternoon reading. 110
Anna Cassar @oddbohemian.bsky.social · 01/10/2026And still with summer duvet and no fluffy dressing gown in the morning. Flat was 24.5 at bedtime and 22 this morning. 110
Anna Cassar @oddbohemian.bsky.social · 01/10/2026Yes shorts and t-shirt for me too but frankly, I love it! 010
Anna Cassar @oddbohemian.bsky.social · 30/09/2026Social care: the private equity care homes will bump up their board and lodging fees. It’s often cheaper to stay in a 5* hotel. Or go on continual world cruises. 000
