Latest “NHS says no” thing to be encountered Tried to request next prescription for medication No, apparently I’m three days too early That leaves just 7 days of medication after I’m allowed to request it online Supposing I was going away??? Still trying to get answer to the shingles vax issue 🙄

Ah yes, we can email surgery to request early medication if say going on hols. They’re actually pretty good. Pharmacist has issued emergency packs in the past. I had the shingles vacc a couple of years ago. Also the pneumonia one. Both are one-offs.

Btw, new shingles vax is a 2-stage one and would cost almost £500 of I pay privately According to NHS website I am eligible Surgery have said I am not I’ve questioned that (twice now) and they’ve not got back to me with any explanation Frustrating beyond measure Sorry, really sorry for this rant 🙄

The Frwnch health service was so patient-friendly, patients front and centre. This quite different approach is taking a lot of getting used to (even though we were only out of it for 5 years). Definitely not patient friendly. Another example this morning: OH had received letter asking him to book
