Never considered this, but `nixos-rebuild switch` really leads to a ton of memory usage, making in-place self-updating VMs quite a challenge. I may need to rethink my VMs vs containers approach. #nixOS

I never considered this, but committing an encypted vault, and then having the decryption key **only** on a target deployment environment also removes the risk of CI getting to read those secrets. Remember that CI is very susceptible to RAT attacks.
