How does one run a #nixos flake check that spins up an OCI image? Start a VM, then run podman commands in that VM? Seems very wasteful...

Code representing a Nix Flake check to run a container: this does not work, since Nixos containers are not OCI containers, but just a sandboxing feature used to verify systemd-oriented services.

Well, that was a ton of work, but the electrical panel for these new solar panels is done 🌞

Electrical panel (wip).

Top panel: a maze of wires, some going nowhere, made by professionals.

Bottom panel: 3 phase to single phase split to 3 shelly 1PM circuits, each with its own RCDs.

Other panels from the 1980's are also in this picture.

The same panels of the first picture, but sealed behind their IP65 enclosures.

A 3 phase cable on top of a lot of other cables: I attached a label to it stating "not connected - to heating panel"

Hey internet, what's a decent large-size rigid mouse-pad? I'm thinking of putting a Logitech PowerPlay mat under it. My current setup is starting to feel crusty. I was considering something made of glass, perhaps? Really want it to be rigid, not a roll...

My current mouse setup: Logitech PowerPlay mat (very worn out) with a white Logitech G502X mouse resting on it.
