March Reading Stats 📚 I spent the majority of March incredibly sick. Don’t get normal sick on top of chronically sick, I do not recommend it! But I’m still happy with my reads. 📚💙 #thestorygraph #storygraph #booksky #reading

Austen’s books have gotten a TikTok romance book makeover and I am feeling really perturbed by this. 😳 We don’t need to overly re-market classics, to the point they become unrecognisable, or akin to works that are MUCH different. 💙📚 #janeausten #books #booksky

Today I’ve written another thousand words for my autistic burnout book, I’m trying to do it in bursts to compartmentalise/stop myself getting too absorbed, in order to avoid me falling into a pit of upset about it. It is working, but I wish I could just fall in and hyperfocus. #writing #autism

I’ve decided to start compiling my ‘Booket List’ a Book Bucket List aka the books I want to read before I depart this mortal coil. There are a few that came to me obviously and quickly, but now I’ve hit a wall. What would the top books on your Booket List be? 💙📚🩸📚 #booksky #bookish

It’s such a brain flaw that you can read while simultaneously going down a thought rabbit hole. Why not stop reading to think? Just a little pause, and let the thought take the lead? Sincerely, Someone who’s just read the same page 3 times 😩 #booksky 📚💙🩸📚

I honestly believe our most powerful position in a toxic time that feeds on cynicism, apathy,& despair is to genuinely care and act for a better world. Cynicism is our enemy. We should check it, incl. on the left. It’s not intellectually superior. It’s the virus they’re trying to infect us with. NO

January’s Reading Wrap-up ✨ I really enjoyed everything I read (finished reading) this month! Mostly dark fantasy with a few Gorey books sprinkled in for the joy of it. One of my goals this year is to read slowly, deeply, and intentionally. #booksky 📚💙 🩸📚 #thestorygraph

I’m finally starting the process of thinking about my autistic burnout (2019-present) thanks to therapy asking me to perhaps discuss it. I’m thinking perhaps a good way to process it would be to write a short book on autistic burnout? Memoir-esque, personal, illustrated? #autism #audhd #booksky 💙📚

One of the most frustrating aspects of my chronic illness is the orthostatic intolerance. What do you mean I bend down and see stars? Sometimes I can’t even hold my head up at all without feeling like I’m going to pass out. #chronicillness #disability #pwme #mecfs

“When someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time.” - Maya Angelou #fuckfascists

A side by side image of Elon Musk doing a Seig Heil Nazi Salute alongside an image of Hitler doing the same. The image shows the identical pose and angle of the fascist gesture. Underneath the text reads the Maya Angelou quote: “When someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time.”

Insane to see a 53 year old man still get the “he’s just autistic boy, he doesn’t understand 🥲” treatment but if someone’s in a mood and experiences my monotone voice I’m an insufferable cunt.

What’s the difference between a gov controlling an algorithm, silently eliminating reach for things it doesn’t like, vs the same gov using its power, to demand that the platform remove the things it doesn’t like.? In China they are overt. With TikTok in the US, they control silently
