Call your banks! Let them know Visa/Mastercards action are effecting you as a client of their bank and their banks business itself, Tell them how Visa/mastercard reps treated you! Ask for them to file a complaint on your behalf. Just got off the phone with my bank and did just this!

Additional tactic. Call your own bank and explain that you've been trying to forward a complaint to Visa/MC but that their customer service reps are now just hanging up on you and other people you know. Make this issue about their customer service and not about Steam/Itch.

If this happens to you, please take the following actions:

The big key point is if they are gonna negatively affect our lives, then we need to do the same to them. Be polite but be nuisance!

No one is saying to switch cards if you dont want to, the point is to make out concerns know on all fronts, We call Visa/Master card and tell them what we think. We call out banks since they provide those card and let them know how working with those cards are effecting them and us negatively.
