Here's another post about something from Studio Zero. This is "Otanoshimi Anime Gekijo", a segment that ran on Fuji TV's "Matsuri Da! Wasshoi!" (祭りだ!ワッショイ!) in 1970. Each of the founders of the studio get to do animated shorts set to songs in this. Some more images/info can be seen in the replies.

The segment's title card, featuring Nyarome from Moretsu Ataro.

Ijiwaru Baasan (Granny Mischief) was a manga originally created by Machiko Hasegawa, who also created Sazae-san. This manga got two adaptations, one by Knack in 1970, and one by Eiken in 1996. Sadly, neither of them got a home media release. The clips shown here are from the 1970 version.

In this concept sketch, you can see a very squat early version of Fang with a small doodle of Tensai Bakabon character Rerere no Ojisan doing the series’ trademark scramble walk. The word next to the character reads “movement,” so it's probably how Higashi imagined Fang's walking animation.

Concept art of Sonic and prototype Fang, drawn by Shin'ichi Higashi. Fang at this stage is very short, about two-thirds of Sonic's height. His hat sits so low on his head that it meets his nose, creating an overall head shape reminiscent of Opa-Opa from Fantasy Zone.

The Tensai Bakabon character known as "Rerere no Ojisan" ("Rerere guy") performing the scramble walk that characters in this series often seem to do.

Aurora Kia-Ora Suncrush 1955 Early in his tenure at UPA, Gene Deitch created this short-lived British - and Japanese by dumb luck - mascot, a forgetful young girl whose mother and neighbours reminded her - quite aggressively - not to forget her Kia-Ora soft drink whenever she went out without it.

Aurora, a little cartoon girl with a frazzled ginger hair

Aurora riding a sled downhill with an empty basked in hand while her mother calls, "Aurora! Don't forget the KIA-ORA"

Aurora as an usherette, carrying cartons of Kia-Ora orange, lemon and golden orange squash on a tray down a cinema aisle. On the screen: "Aurora says- "don't forget the KIA-ORA CUP SQUASH""

Ads for Ribbon Juice starring Aurora's unathorised Japanese counterpart, Ribbon-chan, designed almost exactly like Aurora but wearing a large bow

Buttons Cadbury Land 1998-2006 The most fondly remembered of the Cadbury Land gang; a bubbly, Zebedee-like girl with spring legs and round, electric cutters for feet, which would slice large buttons out of the chocolate ground with every step she took. She was madly in love with Dudley Sidebottom.

Buttons, a white girl with three pigtails (blonde in artwork like this, bluish-green in advertising), a dress (varying colours, in this case red), springs for legs and large, round, silver Button-Cutter feet (not pictured)

Buttons in Spümcø's ad for Cadbury Land - pictured with aqua hair and her purple dress - bashfully offering Dudley Sidebottom a bag of Cadbury Buttons

Buttons in Studio AKA's style, with a large CG chocolate button leaning against her feet

Quisp Quisp 1965-2023 A loopy, flying alien designed by Jay Ward and voiced by Daws Butler. When he wasn't quarrelling with his rival, Quake, over whose cereal was better - instead of saving people from certain death - he was stopping intergalactic or earthly threats alongside his sidekick, Qunchy.
