Got tired of reading the news and getting mad. Feeding America backs 200+ food banks around the country and I've seeded with $500 for now. I'll match up to another $500 myself. Pass the hat, RTs graciously appreciated, etc.

I know a lot of you have already heard or read about BDS Movement's call against Microsoft, and felt weird and bad about it all, but decided to move forward as normal because of some degree of ambiguity. "What service is Microsoft providing?" Here it is, clear as day. A direct line to death.

According to three Unit 8200 sources, the cloud-based storage platform has facilitated the preparation of deadly airstrikes and has shaped military operations in Gaza and the West Bank.

Thanks to the control it exerts over Palestinian telecommunications infrastructure, Israel has long intercepted phone calls in the occupied territories. But the indiscriminate new system allows intelligence officers to play back the content of cellular calls made by Palestinians, capturing the conversations of a much larger pool of ordinary civilians.

Mel has the most in your face arc and subversion of tropes, they just refuse to acknowledge that because they don’t pay attention to anything outside of the men

020

Nyiko Doris Ndlovu @nyikod.bsky.social · 27/08/2025

She didn’t manipulate anyone and he apologizes for that accusation. Mel’s upfront about her wants. Tells him that her family only takes from the world and shares she’s an exile cause she falls short of that standard. He’s made councillor before his eyes, taught politicking and Mel warns him of war😭😭

Nyiko Doris Ndlovu @nyikod.bsky.social · 26/08/2025

But that would require them thinking that their white man of the month can do something wrong. that would require them placing blame on someone other than the women

Nyiko Doris Ndlovu @nyikod.bsky.social · 26/08/2025

Jv in your bio yeah that tracks. All you guys can say about her is that “she’s so powerful. She’s a girl boss. She belongs with me. She was such a good political manipulator“ it’s literally your lots talking points when you don’t have anything to say about her.

Nyiko Doris Ndlovu @nyikod.bsky.social · 26/08/2025

Oh, that’s a dog whistle. What you were supposed to take that the writers, even when they half assed it, made sure was clear was that she is meant to be an subversion of the seductress trope, but many of you refuse to give a dark skin black female character with the same nuance you give men

110

Nyiko Doris Ndlovu @nyikod.bsky.social · 26/08/2025

Who tf said she’s an idiot? The problem is you guys thinking she’s this master manipulator who was politicking for nefarious reasons. All three of them were in a business relationship in the beginning. Viktor works with Meljay to get what he wants. Jayce works with Melvik to get what he wants🫩

Mel Week: Wildcard - Copy. Mask. is there anything so undoing as a daughter? #arcane #melmedarda #melweek #ambessamedarda #melweek2025

A poem edit featuring Mel Medarda and Ambessa Medarda that’s made up of four panels.

The first screencap is of a shadowed Ambessa looking down at young Mel. The poem begins: “There’s something about having a mother when you’re a girl.”

The second panel is a screencap of a young Mel looking up at her mother with the next line of the poem that reads: “It’s crushing.”

The third panel is after a jump in time, the screencap being from season two of Arcane where Ambessa is looking over her shoulder at Mel in her tent. The poem continues: “Crushing having a mirror that”

The final screencap is Mel and Ambessa with a large amount of room between them in Ambessams tent, with the final piece of the poem reading: “suffers all on its own.”

A message to Mel fans for this #MelWeek2025. Please stay safe and protect yourselves.

Stay safe and don’t be discouraged,

We are aware of the accusations made against Mel fans regarding sending themselves hate via Strawpage. Although we do not believe such thing to be planned, we highly encourage every black fan on Meltwt to close their Strawpages and deactivate guest comments on AO3 during Melweek, as we fear this will be used to send targeted antiblack harassment towards you. This week is meant to uplift both Mel as well as her fans. We want this event to be enjoyed and not overshadowed by antiblack racism. We need to protect each other. So please take care of your mental health and don't make yourself accessible for the wave of racism that might hit us this coming week. We are sorry that this is happening and that it is further fueled by parts of this fandom. To every black fan involved: please stay safe.

With love,
Your MelWeek Team

They found and picked one another and for Jayce, whose agency is wonky at the end, this is big. For Mel who goes back to cold Noxus, the memories of him will keep her warm. So, sure, maybe not in EVERY life, but it happened in THIS one and it was everything. #meljay #melmedarda #jaycetalis #arcane

This was loved on Twitter: There’s something…romantic about how #Meljay aren’t written in the stars. Their love is active—a choice. She chooses to open herself up to him after being exiled. He chooses to be honest with her when at an impasse which would go against the has it all together image.

Exactly. Waiting and hoping for something for seven years, getting it only for a group of witches and time travel to rip you apart, returning changed physically and psychologically…only for one to die and the other to go back to the home she never felt comfortable in yummy yum yum

i think we as meljays need to lean into the inherent yearning and subsequent tragedy that is meljay. yearning for 7 years, only to be torn apart. tragic, star crossed lovers who understood each other better than anyone else ever had.
