This modern political poster is based on the famous 1932 anti-fascist photomontage "Millions Stand Behind Him" (The Meaning of the Hitler Salute) by the pioneering German artist John Heartfield.
Heartfield's original piece was a sharp satirical critique of Adolf Hitler, depicting him giving a Nazi salute while a giant hand representing wealthy industrialists and financiers places a stack of money into his palm, symbolizing who was truly backing the fascist regime.
This modern Scottish Socialist Voice adaptation substitutes Hitler with Nigel Farage to level a similar critique about HIS wealthy backing.
