Now living in a country where I walk and take public transit on a daily basis, I’m taking a look at new bags and it breaks the brain seeing the ones marketed to men. They’re all “tactical”, like a practical bag is emasculating unless it makes a guy look like a mall cop warrior.

Even if those feelings changed, church would hold no appeal, as I sit closer to the “no god exists/it’s unknowable” position. At the same time, I’d love to see more of the ideas rejected by fundies get discussed. It’s fascinating how we reinterpret symbols and stories over time. 2/3

It’s so disappointing how much cool religious philosophy is lost to conservative forms of Christianity, i.e. Paul advocating celibacy. As someone who grew up in fundamentalist churches, I think I’m past the point where I’d be capable of attending a church and feeling comfortable in it. 1/3

I grew up on Inuyasha, but never really saw Ranma, so it feels a bit like I missed out. It’s funny the author insists upon it being unintentional, because many of Inuyasha’s themes (prejudice, duality, and self-perception) can be read in very queer ways. Dammit, now I want to do an analysis.
