When I say too much effect-like behavior, I mean specifically the bad code pattern where a developer will use effects for everything, because it's natural for humans to think of things is terms of "X reacts to Y" However, across nearly all frameworks, this is slow.

Some perspective on the JS Frontend frameworks At 120fps, your users will feel your application is buttery smooth. ~ Where can things go wrong? ~ ~ slow apis ~ bad CSS / (e.g.: reflow problems) ~ bad UX ~ too much effect-like behavior

at 8x CPU throttle, more of Ember's rendering bottlenecks are more apparent. I have a branch, visible here: rbench.nullvoxpopuli.com/results?from... that nearly doubles perf (on the right-hand side there) it's interesting though, at a 4x CPU throttle, nearly everyone is FPS maxxing.
