3) Bouncy. Not sure how well the transparency shows up on this one. I'm only giving myself 30-60 minutes to work on these, so this one ended up with a bit of a copy/paste for the bouncing ghost. I *think* I'm getting a better process for these simple animations. #art #procreate #AuGhost2026

2) Anger next. I went with the sort of split mask because, well, anger appears in so many ways but still gets hidden away at times. If you notice, I'm trying to mostly keep with the same brush for each day. #art #procreate #AuGhost2026

This year I'm trying to keep my own entries pretty simple in terms of composition, but I've given myself the added challenge of doing a little animation. We'll see how well it keeps up. Here's day 1, Breeze. #art #procreate #AuGhost2026

Feeling a smidge of the creative spark. Pulled out an in-progress story bible for an old thing, and plopped my XIV character down in game to mimic. I don't know why but the externalized character helps me focus. It's sort of like the lo-fi girl thing I guess?
A screen shot of the video game Final Fantasy XIV, features a female presenting roegadyn character sitting at a desk and working at a a cosmic exploration computer terminal. A blue light emenates from the monitor, illuminating the desk and the woman typing away. The room is mostly wood, with a darker board and batten trim on the wall. The darkened window suggests this picture may have been taken at night in game. The female figure is wearing a loose dress shirt with a dark purple vest. She has an orchid flower in her hair.

And here we are again. Surprised how the test was. Most of the LR tests have been harder than their MR base version, but this was the same.
A screenshot of the video game Warframe.

The image shows the end screen of the mastery Legendary 6 test, with a large banner to the right showing the test name, and the rewards: +1 loadout slot, +500 daily standing limit, +5000 daily focus limit, +1 legendary core, +50 void trace storage. Pictured on the left is the warframe Voruna Prime. She is mostly painted black with plum colored accents.

And since I am trying to continue the habits from those early 2025 entries, hey look we're listening to albums again. Today is the Arcade Paradise Official Soundtrack. Lots of vaguely familiar stuff, but a joy to pop on in game when I'm starting up that day's events.
Cover art of the Arcade Paradise Official Soundtrack.

It features numerous cartoon characters featured in the cabinets of the game Arcade Paradise. They're bursting out over the main building of the game, King Wash laundromat. The art style is cartoonish with moderately thick outlines.

I dunno, I haven't messed with Aesprite in like, five years. But I wanted to make something. Have a poorly made version of my older sibling's lalafell. He's got an AST's card. I don't know which one!
A pixel art image of a lalafel from FFXIV. It's poorly made, but is animated. The character is wearing a yellowish green armor, and has a floating card before them. The card bobs up and down and the character blinks as part of the animation.

Kiki. She's the one villager I remember from the original Animal Crossing way back, and I just about cried when I saw she was the first new villager to want to move into my island after the initial set.
A screenshot of Kiki from Animal Crossing: New Horizons. She is a black cat with large yellow iris eyes and pointy ears. She's wearing an argyle sweater and is smiling. The room she's in has several wooden pieces of furniture adorned with a radio, a tea kettle, and paint supplies. The wall paper is a 70's retro yellow-green wallpaper, and there's a window behind Kiki.

Knocked out Crystal Project this week. It's a very fun ball of a lot of SNES era JRPGs and platformers. Great game for finding secrets and exploring. Highly recommend. Enough that it became one of the few titles I perfected on steam. Also has a pretty nice modding scene I'm looking to delve into.
A screen grab of a Steam Achievement banner. It shows off a line listing "You've unlocked all achievements! 51 our of 51 (100%) ."

Below this banner, seven icons for achievements from the game Crystal Project are displayed without text displays, and an icon listing +44 for the remaining achievements).

Album 53 Florence + The Machine - Dance Fever (Complete Edition) That name combined with my posting format makes it seem like I'm subtracting the album. Really enjoyed the threads of the album. My first time listening to the group, and I'm surprised I haven't been exposed to them earlier.

Same quest, same base look but different characters, eight years apart. Original when I first ran the Heavensward Remembrance quest, second as the alt tonight. Tyr's a Femroe now, and Micara has the old body. Kind of heavy thinking of how different the person playing each character has become.

Album 52 - Week... still need to figure that out. Rebecca Sugar - Spiral Bound Short, sweet, and tender. Rebecca Sugar brings their iconic soft and cozy melodies in this pocket sized album, and it does not disappoint. Take a breath and indulge for 14 minutes with this gentle audio gift.
Album Cover to Rebecca Sugar's Spiral Bound.

The cover shows a pair of currently being worn socks and stripped pajamas. Three small ink drawings on cut paper scraps are spread arund the legs and the blanket or rug they are resting on. The artist's and the album's names are drawn in a similiar style like a sticker on the bottom right of the image.

Feels like I just did LR4. Well, I will say the legendary version of the hacking test was a lot more fun, show casing hacking objectives from Duviri, 1999, Whispers, and The New War. Lots of fun. Wish there was multi-objective hacking throughout the game rather than limited by tileset.

Album 51 - Week... let's just.. figure that out later. Magic Sword - Volume 1 Neat Dungeon Synth album from a decade ago. A very classic sound that fits comfortablly in that valley between 80's fantasy and video game chiptune. Lyricless, so makes for good writing music for me too.
Album cover of Magic Sword's Volume 1

A black sword illustration over a white background. The sword has two sharp sides to it's blade, with a flowery guard. The handle is designed with simple strips and a brush like pommel.

Album 50 - week ... uh... I don't know. Phoebe Bridgers - Punisher I don't know if I'll do all 5 each week as I'm still recovering, but Punisher is a nice moody album to come back to the project with. Wonderfully melancholic, rough and brain soothing. The right mood to help me feel like me.
Album cover of Phoebe Bridgers' Punisher.

A night shot in desert badlands, with a cragy peak in the background set before a star filled night sky. The foreground shows a rock strewn landscape illuminated in red light. Phoebe Bridgers stands in the middle of the shot, wearing her signature skeleton one piece outfit. She's staring up into the night sky, perhapes at the moon or a chinese satellite.

Album 49, week 10 The Midnight - Endless Summer Hitting another favorite so soon, but was in the mood. Synthwave wonders and dreamy albums, the Midnight scratchs a nice spot in my head no matter the album. Endless Summer was my intro to them and has the fondest spot in my heart.
Album cover to The Midnight's Endless Summer.

A dark image that has VCR artifacting errors across it, featuring an underlit feminine figure. Their silhouette glows a neon purple, and they stretch backwards with their torso pressed forward. The band's name is stretched across the figure's form, in stretched neon lightning colors. The album name appers at the bottom presented as in a font as if it was a video game selection screen.

Album 48, week 10 Concerned Ape - Stardew Valley OST Oh, revisiting the farm is a big album! Falling back into it after spending time in the Forbidden Lands recently. First time I've managed to reload a put aside save and haven't immediately started a new game.
Album cover of the Stardew Valley OST.

It features a scenic shot of the mountains and foilage featured in the game Stardew Valley, with light clouds and skyline that goes from a light baby blue to a dark stary night. The album's name is written in letters constructed of wooden planks, with small leaves jutting out here and there. A Chicken sits on the top of the E in Stardew.

Album 47, week 10 George Hrab - Trebuchet One of the musicians I meet through podcasting. An early adopter of the medium and still going these days. The album stats right where Geo expects you to meet him at, followed by a number of quirky, fun, and somtimes emotional ballads.
Album cover of George Hrab's Trebuchet

The cover features Geo in a classic suit. He's profile to the camera and in midjump, holding a guitar with his arm held back. Behind him, a large poster board contains all of the song names and lyrics for teh entire album. The titles, including the album cover and George Hrab's name, are in large stylistic block letters. A small wooden trebuchet, red sneakers, and a copy of Phil Plait's book "Death from the Skies!" are in front of the poster wall on the ground.

Album 45, week 9 Nobuo Uematsu - Final Fantasy IV: Celtic Moon Here's an interesting mix. Released back in the early 90's, this instrumental arrangement is such a fun take on music that's so familiar to me. Not too far off from the vibes much of the high fantasy that game gives.

Album 44, week 9 Watsky - X Infinity Ah, month 3, time to introduce another favorite. I love the rest of his work, but this one is such an awesome combination of tunes that plays perfectly in circle with itself. The Lovely Things Suite is such a perfect quasi-end cap to the whole thing.
Album cover of Watsky's X Infinity (pronunced Times Infininty)

It featues watsky in a stylish bust with the reliefs of various ivys over his face. His fast rests in the middle of a red sphere admit a grey stone block.

Album 43, week 9 Chaos Chaos - Commited to the Crime Heard this band the way most folks I know have, and while I don't watch that show anymore, it did have some pretty wicked music here and there. The album's a solid brain worm, and interesting note, they're also on a Watsky album I'll share.
Album cover of Chaos Chaos's Commited to the Crime.

Album 42, week 9 The Flaming Lips - Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots Another one of those "Always on when I was a young adult" albums. Especially "Do You Realize??". Weird head spaces and electronic brain pokes. A lot of nights of mixed up emotions.
Album cover of The Flaming Lips's Yoshimi Battls the Pink Robots.

The cover looks like a color pencil sketch of a feminin figure in a yellow dress stnading before an exaggerated giant pink robot. The robot has two huge feet which seem to have additional limbs sprouting from them.

Album 41, week 9 The Birthday Massacre - Pins and Needles Introduced to me when I was looking for a sort of "character soundtrack" to a TTRPG campaign, they've slowly crept more and more into my soundscapes. Who would have guessed, more vaguely dark themed Alt Rock.
Album cover of The Birthday Massacre's Pins and Needles

The cover is purple-blue/pink in tone. It features a Feminine figure wearing a dark 1800's style funeral dress, including a black lace face mask hiding the figure's skeletal face. The landscape around the figure is a dark forboding road that seems to lead to a church. A town and a distant carnival can be seen in silhouette in the distance.

Album 40, week 8 Cabaret OST Closing out the week with a classic soundtrack. There's a three minute segment in that film that's chilling. It was a reminder, a warning, back then. But that 53 year old film should serve as a reminder of the dangers come again. Time is not a river, but it rhymes.
Album cover for the Cabaret Original Sound Track Recording.

The cover is mostly black with the movie logo, Cabaret write in a large font with negative space punches for lights, turned on it's side. Liza Minnelli as her character sits on the top of the upturned title.

Album 39, Week 8 Placebo - Sleeping With Ghosts Finally poking for recommendations, this is the first one I've stepped into. From @macaronstar.bsky.social Their recommendation fit squarely with the era of music I seem to gel with. Nice moodiness that fits wonderfully into the year's list so far.
Album cover of Placebo's Sleeping With Ghosts

The cover is a cyan toned image of a half dressed masculine figure embracing a half transparent nude feminine figure. Neither of them clearly shows their face. The band's name and album name are on the left side of the frame in a column.

Album 38, Week 8 Ninja Sex Party - Under the Covers I think a cover album counts for my "no greatest hits" rule. This is a splendid collection that Danny covers wonderfully. The Last Unicorn piece is a particular lovely cover. I wonder if I should pick through the individual albums at some point.
Album cover of Ninja Sex Party's Under the Covers

Album 37, Week 8 Hoobustank - They Sure Don't Make Basketball Shorts Like They Used To Another staple of teenage listening, one of the first albums I got as a burned CD a lifetime ago. I'm fairly certain the mp3's I'm listening to right now come from that disc. Music from another time...
Album cover of Hoobustank - They Sure Don't Make Basketball Shorts Like They Used To.

The cover features several athletes wearing basketball uniforms. They are shown only from the waist down, and are standing on a yellow basketball court. The band's old name, spelled with a u, is displayed above in a bold font reminiscent of many basketball team logos. The album's name is at the bottom in front of a dark field.

Album 36, week 8 Nathaniel Chambers - Primordia OST A lot of game music tracks fit into the category of "beautiful distorted noise." Primordia fits comfortable in that space, dragging you into the off putting dead lands of the fringe to the decay of Metropol. Great game, nerve itching soundscape.
A desktop cover for the game Primordia. It features the core protagonist Horatio and his assistant Crispin, two robot intelligences in decayed and worn forms. They're looking away from a dark cryptic robot necropolis. The image is mostly a grey and brownscale gradiant.

Album 35, week 7 Rush - Snakes and Arrows Closing out the week with our first revisit (Protomen doesn't count!). This was my reintroduction after hearing only a little growing up. Friends got me the new album while loading me up with a lot of the old. Artificially generated nostalgia I suppose.
Album Cover of Rush's Snakes and Arrows

The cover is a homage to the game Snakes and ladders, with various snakes coiled around spears in a vaguely historic art picture frame. The Album name and band name are at 90 degrees to the view, using the right side of the cover as their "bottom."

Album 33, week 7 Gorillaz - Demon Days Guess I'm in a music of my youth mood this week. Gorillaz was another staple of sound tracks that filled my ears for years. I've fallen off in the last decade. Another group to reconnect with. By the time this is all done, I'll have a nice list for revisit.
Album cover for Gorillaz "Demon Days"

The cover is four squares in a 2 x 2 pattern, each fitted with one of the main characters from Gorillaz, Murdock, 2-D, Noodle, and Russel.

Album 32, week 7 A Perfect Circle - Mer De Noms Ah, more teenage/young adult malaise. Such lovely morose times listening to the sads and powerful. This one I listened to with everything else off, headphones on tight, some candles lit, and just vibed. Might give it another go in a minute.
Album cover for A perfect Circle's Mer De Noms.

The cover is a dark screen over light redish orange smoke brush work against a stone texture. The band's name is center stage in fromt of a broken circle image, with text in the back of the album's name.

Album cover of Childish Gambino's Because the Internet.

It features a bust shot of the musician wearing a pink, red, and orange tropical shirt. He's in front of a left right gradient that mirrors many of colors of the shirt, primarly a dark orange on the left and a light pink on the right.

Album 30, week 6 Steam Powered Giraffe - Album One Closing the week with a lovely band capable of giving cute chaos and gut punchs of such painful sourness. No, wait, that last part should sorrow. Precious sad feelings. Not sour tastiness. Mmm... sour candy robots. Please don't eat the band.
The album cover of Steam Powered Giraffe's Album One.

The album is a stylishly aged image with frayed edges on a white border. The background is a red gardiant sheet, and three of the early robots populate the cover. Rabbit in her old brass chasis and goggles, the Spine with his black suit and silver dermis, and the Jon with his classis suspenders and copper skin. The band's name appears at the top in their logo font, and the album name appears on the bottom right.

Album 29, week 6 Caron Based Lifeforms - Derelicts For those lovely ancient friends that remember my old Space Engineers streams, you'll remember Derelicts and other CBL tracks as the backbone of those streams. The moody dreamy sound just fuels that dream of other worlds. Of other stars.
Album cover of Carbon Based Lifeforms' - Derelicts

The image is red tinted. It shows part of a large industrial plant of some kind, focused on a spherical tank. Various railing sand covered ladders adorn the site. The album's name is in a blocky clean font in the middle bottom of the image, with the band's name in the same but smaller font above it.

Album 28, week 6 The Alan Parsons Project - The Turn of a Friendly Card One of those albums I grew up listening to a lot due to my father's musical influence. I like a lot of their older stuff. It's weird, moody, some neat synth experiments. They're comfort albums to me.
Album cover for The Alan Parson project - The Turn of a Friendly Card

The cover is a stylized stain glass window set in a black field. The Window is in the shape of the King of Diamonds playing card, with segmented potions showing off the metal framework of the window. The album name is in the top of the window in a painted manuscript style font. The band's name is above the window in a simple clean font.

Album 26, week 6 Living Colour - Vivid (2023 Remaster) I'm gonna be honest, this album feels very timely. I hate how much the 1988 talking points are so so poignant still. It fucking sucks knowing how much some things echo loudly though history. But at least we have some good boops about it.
Album Cover for Living Colour's Vivid.

The cover is a maximalization collage of various images, with a core background split in the middle between a black and white field. A saw blade is centered in the back of the image, with its colors being vertically split between inverted in the middle. The album's artist and album name are at the top of hte image, with Living Colour written in a stylized yellow font and Livid in a plain white font. The center of the image shows a painted figure with lights sweeping from their head. The bottom of the cover features several palettes of color, and number hand drawn animals. The album cover is covered in similiar small sqiggly animal figures.

Album 23, week 5 Pink Floyd - The Division Bell Not just avoiding the "obvious pick," but actually posting my favorite album of theirs. It's refined, the sound has gone through so many iterations, and they know who they are in this form. Other albums are great, even better, but this is my PF fav.
Album cover of Pink Floyd - The Division Bell

The image depicts two idential statues in a plowed field with dark clouds on the horizon. The statues seem like tall heads facing each other, giving the impression of a single face pulling apart.

And I break my rules because I can and it's my project. Album 17, week 5 The Protomen - Act II: The Father of Death What a followup. I wasn't joking when I said they expanded the Megaman Mythos. This prequel album lays a wonderful groundwork for Act's story, and it makes me so eager for Act III.
Album Cover to The Protomen - Act II: The Father of Death

The album cover is designed like a comic cover, with a shallow perspective shot from street level. The characters are in partial silhouette, with bright single color highlights. Featured center stage are Dr. Light and his partner Emily. Around them in the background is the images of Sniper Joe, Dr Willy, and the forces working against Light under Willy's guidance. The background shows a storm dark cloud building above and expanding to the horizon. The primary colors are a pale yellow, dull golds, oranges, and a soft baby blue used as a dark highlight.

Album 16, week 5 The Protomen - The Protomen (Act I) Megaman dystopia fan fiction musical? Yes, please. I love this album so damn much. The Megaman mythos put to song, the heroic desire dashed upon the jagged rocks of fear and failure, the powerful rock duel of Sons of Fate? Ugh. It's so good.
Album cover of The Protomen - The Protomen (Act I)

The cover is stylisticly impaired with horizontal scan lines making it seem like an image from a third generation game console. The image shows a dark city, with a single point of light from the highest tower, set over a dark purple backdrop. The band's name is on the bottom right in a sharp jagged font.

Album cover of Watsky's Complaint

It lists the album title in a stylistic 3 part segment:

COM

These start spelling out the three album names when all three covers are placed together.

The background is a distorted picture of Watsky, with slanted lines streaking from the bottom left to the top right, fitting with the trilogy's covers.

Album 19, week 4 Alex Cremers - Shadowrun I'm honestly not sure if that's even the right name for this album, but it's an awesome series of ambient pieces that comes from a CD that I think was circulated at cons back in the 90's. It really hits the vibe of that era of Shadowrun nicely.
A cover image from early editions of Shadowrun. It features several shadowrunners including Dodger and Sally. Dodger is hacking a terminal, plugging in his cyberdeck into a terminal in an ally. A Glass and neon cityscape takes up the bulk of the rear of the image.

Album cover to TLC's Fanmail.

Album cover of The Transformers Movie (1986) Soundtrack

The background is a flat white screen. The blocky Transformers title card is at the top of the image, split artistically between Trans and Formers, with the autobot logo (a blocky robotic face set in a squint) placed after the Trans.

Album Cover for Aviators' - God Hunter.

Album Cover for Anne Garner's Trusting a Twirled World

The album cover looks like a rough, sandpaper-esque surface embossed with an ink block print of a curling tree on the right. Scattering little leaves dot the branches, and the title of the album and Anne's name curls along the outer edges of these branches.

Album 14, Week 3 Jessica Curry - Dear Esther OST The first walking sim I played. Lovely off-putting album that fits the tone of Nigel Carrington's narration perfectly. It's a touch odd to listen to on it's own. If you haven't tried this one, I highly recommend it even if you're a non-gamer.
Album cover of the Dear Esther OST.

The cover is a screen shot from in game, featuring a overcast grey sky and a barely illuminated rock and scrub grass covered hill. Centered on the hill is an aerial antenna tower, with a single red light at it's apex. The musician's name, Jessica Curry, appears on the right-middle of the cover, with Dear Esther below it in a larger font.

Album 13, Week 3 Trocadero - Flying By Wire. Pretty much the Red Vs Blue OST. Lots of memories of Rooster Teeth and early RvB. Since this seems to be nostalgia week for me, this bit of old important to me entertainment seemed apt. Weird to think that little upstart company is gone now.
Album cover for Trocadero's "Flying by Wire."

The cover is a grey scale image of a woman in a pilot's helmet with her face exposed. She has heavy blushed eyes that are only slightly open. Her head is tilted upwards but she looks down her nose towards the camera. The band's name in all caps is at the bottom of the image, with the album's name in all lower case letters following it.
