This is a huge problem on the eshop right now. Megabonk and Cloverpit have had clones with titles that include the real title. They launched before those games had actual Switch ports so you wouldn't see them side by side with the real game in the store either.

That's good to know. I just jumped into a single race and picked the closest thing to my real car I could find lol. I think I mainly need to figure out how to actually use the brake. I'm not used to games where the brake is a relevant button.

Thought it was time for me to play a more realistic racing game than what I usually play (F-Zero and kart racers), so I grabbed a ROM for Gran Turismo 4. Not sure how much my performance was due to my skill or my insistence on driving a station wagon.

I feel like the big problem with open source is that you don't get things if people don't care enough to implement it. And the people who contribute to open source projects don't care about things like "not installing half your apps through the command line."

A couple of years ago, they stopped shipping Everdrives because the guy who made them is in Ukraine and everybody's like "Oh no,I hope he's okay" because nobody knew if he was alive or not and that was another "Wow, the world is full of real people other than me" moment for me.

Clicked through on this, and scrolled to look for an AI disclaimer, naturally. What I found instead was that this was developed as some sort of new employee training program. Apparently they release free games from new employees in batches periodically. Pretty novel idea.

Did a fitness thing at work yesterday. Didn't think it would be too hard; after all, it's to encourage people to join the local gym, and I'm like a month into a solid gym routine. So it turns out to be the hardest workout I've ever done and I feel like I've been hit by a truck this morning.
