My new wind gong EP 'Green Sanctuary' is now available to stream and download on your preferred music platforms. Listen to my new EP on Spotify: open.spotify.com/album/73XaTR... #NicholasPetersMusic

Single artwork by Dr. Nicholas Peters with green coloured text that reads: “Green Sanctuary - Nicholas Peters”. The photograph in the artwork shows a green-covered lake, surrounded by large green trees. At the front, there is a horizontal trunk. At the back of the photograph, there is a bare tree trunk fallen in the water. The sunlight shines on the water casting shadows through the overhanging tree leaves and making different shades of green. The appearance is almost swamp-like, a green sanctuary/haven. Then photograph was taken in July 2026 at the Parc de la Citadelle in Lille, France, by Nicholas Peters.

Back in July, I released my first track for solo wind gong, 'Moon Echoes in Blue'. The title refers to the Moon mallet and the gong gadgets ('Echoes'), both handmade by Epic Mallets. The sound world is very much in the ambient oeuvre, without any synthesizers. open.spotify.com/track/7lgtrt...

I turn 40 tomorrow and, to celebrate, I am releasing an 8-track 45-minute album of new wind gong music entitled "Dive into the Gongosphere". It would be wonderful if you would help me celebrate my big birthday by saving and listening to the album 🤗 🎵 bit.ly/gongosphere #NicholasPetersMusic

Single artwork by Dr. Nicholas Peters with yellow coloured text that reads: “Dive into the Gongosphere - Nicholas Peters”. The background image in the artwork is the front of a Thomann 70cm wind gong, illuminated by blue nebula cloud projections. The 'bubbles' seen in the artwork are the fluffy heads of my Olli Hess Move Line mallets. The diving helmet in the centre is a photograph taken at the diving museum in Sanary-sur-Mer in June 2025. The yellow Koi carp seen in the diver's eyes is from the Dingle at Lymm, Cheshire.

Shade represents safety, refuge, and protection. The album came together intuitively around these themes, by following whatever felt right. The music is human, and imperfect, like me.
And now, Shade Songs is everywhere. I hope you can find a place in it. ffm.to/shade-songs

When I started making my new album, I wanted to create the feeling of sitting beneath a large tree.
As the music developed, I found deeper meaning in the concept of shade, exploring how we can learn from this natural balance of light and shadow.
Portrait by Natalie Jennings.
