before Ruiz's killing last month, Madison had been rocked by 2 police killings during what were likely mental health crises: of Paul Heenan, a white 30-year-old, in 2012, and of 19-year-old Tony Robinson, who was biracial and shot dead by police in 2015 on the same Madison street as Ruiz.

Corey Ruiz did not have to die. When it comes to stopping someone with a knife, lethal force should be a last resort. We've worked with & support the Madison Civil Review Board & Independent Review. We stand with them & the community represent in demanding access to all investigative materials.

The agents who killed Tyrin & Alfonso were both federal agents & part of the so-called Memphis Safe Task Force. Instead of having to demand investigations into killings, we want the killings to end. Unwanted federal agents & National Guard members need to leave local communities immediately.

The son of the man shot and killed by ICE: I am Ronaldo Salgado, the oldest son of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo. He should've been picking up the last of his guys before heading to finish up construction. Unbeknownst to all of us, my dad had been shot inside his van by ICE agents in unmarked cars.

ICE claims that Araujo drove into one of their SUVs with his van and then tried to run over an agent. There were no marks on the van and KHOU11's Jeremy Rogalski found surveillance footage showing ICE chasing Araujo and cutting him off. Renee Good all over again.
