In reality… they have every intention of crashing the market after the elections… and trying to blame it on the new dem congress… also, so they can profit from shorting the market. Watch and see. They don’t care about the country… they only care about the profits they can reap from chaos.

Yep. The reality right now is that there aren't *any* actual debates over jurisprudence, interpretation, and so forth, because SCOTUS itself doesn't have any. The majority decides cases solely on personal preference and does not leave behind a consistent rationale for doing so.

Most of the beltway shares the same ideology as university administrators/trustees: "my job is to justify the whims and abuses of the rich and powerful." That's why the five members of Cornell's "External Advisory Board" for their report included David Brooks and an AEI scumbag.

As someone who does teach con law, the idea that the Republicans on the Roberts Court are just too committed to "originalism" is farcical. You will search the opinions in Shelby County or Trump v. US (inter many alia) in vain for even the slightest trace of it

Best part of this muddled article by one of Bloomberg's money guys is that two of the charts make a compelling case that knee-jerk opposition to AI is wholly justified because technological progress doesn't increase productivity, it just enables greater income extraction by capital. Oops!

Pour one out for a real one. His oral history at USHMM talks about the youth movements finding places for Jews to hide and bringing them food, and becoming masters at forging Nazi documentation so pristine that the national French Resistance used them too. collections.ushmm.org/search/catal...
how the youth movements were the first to recognize the imminent peril and initiated rescue operations to save and arm the Jews; how during the mass arrests the youth movements provided food on a daily basis for those in hiding, identified host families or institutions for Jewish children, and produced forged documents; recalls the various techniques to produce forged documents and the evolving coded vocabulary: "les bifs" for the more artisanal identity cards and "les synthés" (les synthétiques) for the more perfect forgeries; how the youth movements' forgery laboratories were so proficient that the national French Resistance used their services and, in particular, the expertise of Maurice Loebenberg (Cachoud);

In case you didn't know this, NEVER donate to a university. They are NOT charities. They are huge piles of money swarming with parasites known as administrators. Millions work for them honorably, educating people. The academic administrators, however, are as sociopathic as corporate executives.

Some 20th century chivalrous behaviors are sexist, but most are not. Making a habit of acting with respect and courtesy does in fact mold your behavior for the better. My son will give up his seat, hold that door, and offer his arm. That is empathy, and that is what some young men are missing.

Not sure if the point of Angela Paxton’s video was to cause people to search Angela Paxton’s name only to find out that she helped facilitate Ken Paxton’s corruption for many years before ultimately filing to divorce him on “biblical grounds”, but that’s what happened.

We murdered four more people in a boat today
U.S. southern Command: On October 4, under the direction of #SOUTHCOM, Joint Task Force Western Hemisphere executed a lethal, kinetic strike on a go-fast vessel operating along established narco-trafficking routes in the Caribbean. Confirmed intelligence revealed the vessel's active involvement in narco-trafficking. The operation killed four narco-terrorists. @DeptofWar

Joe Biden was too old to be president. Trump is the same age as Biden was when he was president. And it’s obvious that Trump is less mentally healthy than Biden was. So when will the media report that the president’s brain is broken? If the answer is “never,” that means the media are broken too.

And yet, he'll continue to be platformed by Tapper, the other Sunday shows, & other major media outlets. The consequence for this needs to be de-platforming. The continued approach of treating this lying as an acceptable part of "normal politics" is broken & incompatible with defending democracy.
