Yes could do with a proper downpour. The streets are dusted with the remains of months of god-know-what. It could all do with a bit of a wash. Not to mention the trees and gardens...

For National Poetry Day, Frank O'Hara
Poem [“Lana Turner has collapsed!”]

By Frank O’Hara
Lana Turner has collapsed!
I was trotting along and suddenly
it started raining and snowing
and you said it was hailing
but hailing hits you on the head
hard so it was really snowing and
raining and I was in such a hurry
to meet you but the traffic
was acting exactly like the sky
and suddenly I see a headline
lana turner has collapsed!
there is no snow in Hollywood
there is no rain in California
I have been to lots of parties
and acted perfectly disgraceful
but I never actually collapsed
oh Lana Turner we love you get up

I'm feeling like maybe I should write something on: how to start a community. You start with you and one friend trying to live near enough to each other that you can walk to each other's houses. You host a regular meal for other friends who live nearby, at home or somewhere local and cheap.

Zwei Zwiebeln
Four half onions on a table made of graph paper. The title is in German because two German speaking friends talked to me about the German word for onion in the space of a week.

A toast
A drawing of a crab guarding an installation of cuboid objects. Two people stand nearby paying no attention while doing impossible things with empty glasses. The floor has green and white tiles. It took longer than anything else to do but is still quite wonky.
