I stand w/the residents of the Garvaghy Road in Portadown. Nobody should feel intimidated living in their own homes. Extremists in the Orange Order & Unionism are damaging ordinary people in N. Ireland w/this nonsense,in particular the very Unionist community they claim to "protect". Shame on them.

Political Unionism, at the behest of Bryson et al, has picked at the sorest sectarian scab of the last 30 years, to create a festering wound. Utterly depressing considering the glimpse of the future we had during the Fleadh. They only wish to drag us back. Solidarity with the residents of Garvaghy.

will say it again: the most effective way to curb far right agitators like Lowe, "Tommo" et. al. would be to stop their ability to earn money for it from social media or live streaming. So much of it is grifting for revenue, not attention.

The speed of adoption of EVs in Europe is astonishing. The trend driven in part, no doubt, by the skyrocketing price of petrol/gas and diesel. The motoring public in Europe are moving much faster than Europe's auto industry planned.

Bradford complains that, on a weekly basis, he sees someone smoking crack on the 505 streetcar, which is perplexing given how much his rhetoric around the city's finances suggests there's at least one famed crack-smoker he holds in high esteem.

Why is this eejit planning to direct a film in Anglo-Saxon, considering it was long dead by the time Shakespeare was writing a play based in southern Italy?

I suspect Eby looked to Ontario in 2025 and figured a cynical early election call with the main opposition party in disarray would be an easy win, and he is most likely correct. However, an earlier Ontario election in 1990, when David Peterson made the same call didn't work out so well.

Frankly, while the right in Toronto are often better at enunciating such problems, like the cities' left, they are missing in action when it comes to actually fixing anything.

The tightrope challenge for carmakers, not just German ones, is that the market wants electric cars now. However, this does not align with the slow transition towards 2035+ that carmakers had planned, which would have involved ongoing high returns on past investments in combustion engine models.

I would seriously consider voting for a political party that pledged to abolish Metrolinx. (I would also give serious consideration to a Toronto mayoralty candidate that pledges to restore the name Jarvis Street to it's original length, and get rid of Ted Rogers Way.)

For those of you cheering Ford's gov't removing bike lanes from Bloor et al.,you realise it will not increase car lanes,as it will return to being filled w/ parked cars. Indeed discouraging cycling,as this will do,don't kid yourselves, will inevitably lead to more cars on the rd,increasing gridlock.

The image is of a four panel comic.
The title above the first two panels reads, "Dog Toys".
The first panel shows Sarah, the protagonist, holding a bone shaped dog toy. She says, "Look!"
The second panel shows a dog wagging its tail. There is a speech bubble leading back to Sarah saying "It squeaks!"
The title above the last two panels reads, "Cat Toys".
In panel three we see Sarah again. She says "Come, child."
Panel four shows a cat raising its paws in glee. We see Sarah's hands holding cat nip. We see a speech bubble leading back to Sarah saying "It is time to do drugs".

Observations. 1)The ban on sales of US alcohol in 8 of Canada's 10 provinces, including the numbers 1,2,& 3 in total population really hurt,in particular the American liquor & wine sectors. 2)Even if US products return to the shelves, guaranteed they will sell in much lower volumes. SO MUCH WINNING!

The Guardian once asked me 'what one change would you make to achieve Black equality in Britain?' and it feels appropriate to share my answer again
Athena Kugblenu: Allow Black people to be mediocre too!
Athena Kugblenu
I would like to replace #blackexcellence with #blackmediocrity. True equality is when our talent:recognition ratio is allowed to be as broad as white people’s. Lewis Hamilton had to win two Formula One titles before he bagged BBC Sports Personality of the Year in 2014; Greg Rusedski only had to get battered by Pat Rafter to win his. Kwasi Kwarteng steered the economy towards an iceberg and got sacked. Jeremy Hunt drove the NHS over a cliff, now he’s chancellor. Don’t get me started on how many football clubs get ruined by freshly retired white footballers while very qualified Black managers are overlooked. When the arc of the moral universe bends towards Black people failing upwards as their peers do, we will be in the promised land.
