CAM @noremacflak.bsky.social · 05/10/2026There weren’t any preview pages online, so I wasn’t quite sure what I was getting, but I’m really happy with the poster selection. They’re also printed on nice, thick paper, which was a pleasant surprise. Nice print quality. 220

CAM @noremacflak.bsky.social · 03/10/2026Found a guy on eBay who put a Raspberry Pi in an NES Mini loaded with NES, SNES, Sega, etc. The little dude seems pretty into them, probably because he hasn’t been spoiled by modern consoles yet.😅 160
CAM @noremacflak.bsky.social · 02/10/2026This is probably my favorite page from the book. There’s a lot of great action throughout. 010
CAM @noremacflak.bsky.social · 02/10/2026Not a totally satisfying conclusion, but it delivers more of Volume One’s great tech-noir atmosphere and body horror. 120

CAM @noremacflak.bsky.social · 01/10/2026So if I’m understanding you right, if horror is the central spine and the comedy is layered on top, you’d consider that horror with comedic moments? 110

CAM @noremacflak.bsky.social · 01/10/2026Yeah, I think that’s what I’m getting at. I watched a lot of horror growing up, and getting back into it lately, it feels like the goalposts have moved. Freddy Krueger was cracking jokes while murdering people, but nobody had trouble calling A Nightmare on Elm Street horror. 110
CAM @noremacflak.bsky.social · 01/10/2026Yet this show has sparked more debate over its classification than just about anything else on this year’s awards list. That suggests it’s not quite so “plain.” 000
CAM @noremacflak.bsky.social · 01/10/2026I honestly wonder if Widow’s Bay had come out in the 80s, would we have just called it horror with a dark sense of humor? 100
CAM @noremacflak.bsky.social · 01/10/2026Maybe I’m drawing the line differently. Creepshow, The Lost Boys and Fright Night are all campy, absurd and deliberately funny at times, but I’ve always thought of them as horror first. To me, something being knowingly ridiculous doesn’t automatically make it a comedy. 100
CAM @noremacflak.bsky.social · 01/10/2026I don’t think I’ll ever fully understand this new breed of comedy horror. So many movies from the golden age of horror were wildly over-the-top and goofy, but we still just called them horror. 110
