Hannah was in the middle of brunch with her friends, when texts from an unknown number hit her phone.
She opened it absentmindedly, gasped, and the damned thing fell to the ground.
“Geez, Han, what the duck are you doing?” Ernie laughed, while his hand sneakily pinched her butt as she reached down for the thing.
“It’s nothing, clumsy hands.” She pushed her hair behind her ear, tilting away from him to hide her blush.
Ernie started talking about his Ministry position again.

Later, hidden in the bathroom, she opened the conversation again.
There he was. Neville, with eyes closed and blissed out face, buried between a woman’s thighs.
Hannah couldn’t see much more than that—a hint of expensive lace across the woman’s stomach, lacquered heels, long pointy nails, perfectly manicured.
But the message below the spicy picture was more than telling.

Pansy loved a good revenge.
When she found broken-hearted Longbottom in a bar near Gringotts, she thought it would be just a bit of fun messing around with him. Basically, a charity case to make him forget that stupid cow.
But then she saw Neville naked, and felt his mouth on her cunt and his cock inside of her, and she couldn’t simply understand what in hell went through Abbott’s empty head when she let that gem of a man go.

The text and photo were petty, and she never told Neville she sent that. It brought her much more joy to keep it secret between her and his ex, who tracked her with desperate eyes everywhere they met.
She watched the other couple sink from awkward to massively embarrassing at official functions, while she honed all that potential Neville kept hidden for too long.
She watched the sad excuse for an engagement ring Hannah eventually got, months after Neville proposed with a ring he designed himself.
With a malicious satisfaction, Pansy winked at Hannah between wedding guests, as she locked that man—his flourishing business, his worshipping tendencies, and body that only served her—down.
