Emerson died two and a half years ago today. At the Pride society, he would occasionally explain Section 28 and everyone would be glad it was history. Parts of the latest DfE guidance (paras 69, 72 and watch out for 74 and what's missing from 27) are a horrible step in the wrong direction.
