It took me SO long to make it work. x_x

The HQ symbol for omnicrafters makes SO much sense!

I thought it was a screenshot of inventory, and you're getting an emote when you really want mounts or something. >.> Now I realize it's from loot roles. :(

xD What emote are you getting so much of?

Final Fantasy XIV has a ton to offer, across all of its expansions. Try stuff! You aren't obligated to be great right away or keep doing parts that aren't for you. As long as you aren't trolling, cheating, or griefing people, play how you want to play. I love this game. I hope you enjoy #FFXIV too.

Yes, ARR has fetch quests and there ARE a few times I've wanted to bap the NPC. But fewer than it used to have, and there is SO much lore tucked around. It helps if you treat it as the opportunity to better explore regions & people. Optional dialogs often change w/ quest prog, too! Fun to check for.

NonBinaryNyan @nonbinarynyan.bsky.social · 02/05/2026

I scowl at people trashing ARR, but also--if you just want to be social, play dress up, do video game fights, but don't care about a story? Doing skips/skipping cutscenes can make sense. Just understand that story is a huge part of #FFXIV game design. It builds and ties in throughout the chapters.

I woke up at 4am, went to tidy browser tabs, and immediate internal screaming at the latest Supreme Court ruling. Because of course they did. (No, I did not manage to go back to sleep.)

Then they'd do well to add something clarifying that, because it's lost them potential sales to quite a few people I know.

NonBinaryNyan @nonbinarynyan.bsky.social · 30/04/2026

That's on every single Display Box listing that they sell. Has been since I first started looking at merch a few years ago. Magnets, plushies, figures, keychains, badges, all of them. 😠

Cool for you. Meanwhile, it's still wrecking people with asthma, and it's even worse for people outright allergic to it.

I need to give a shoutout to the #AOTA conference that happened at the same time as #fanfest. What a wonderful bunch of people to be so warm and open-minded! I’m 99% sure I jump scared quite a few people but the interactions were always pleasant and they were quickly down to clown. 😂 #ffxiv #ff14

Going back over #ffxiv patch notes today--improvement AND a problem coming to CWLS soon. When they add region wide PF/DF matching, CWLS will get the same treatment! Bad news: The cap of 8 will ALSO apply across the whole physical data center. WHY? They're NOT all duplicates! Please raise the cap!

Screenshot of future update listed in patch 7.5. The CWLS section reads:
In coming updates, it will be possible to join and send/receive messages from any cross-world linkshell (CWLS) from the same physical data center.

As before, players may only join up to 8 CWLS at once. However, if a player previously joined a CWLS after using data center travel, resulting in their total number exceeding 9 or more, the linkshells which exceed the limit will not be immediately erased.

Please note, however, that these linkshells will be deactivated, and you will not be able to send or receive messages from them. They may be reactivated by leaving or disbanding unused cross-world linkshells.

Quick question! How do you save a gpose in progress? I know about save the lighting and camera position buttons (does that still work after getting disconnected?) but not anything for the character motion and placement.

Hang on now, you can't narrow the request THAT much *after* the servers go down. 😆

... I actually like Worqor Triumph, most of the time. I haven't been able to do as many as I'd hoped.. and b/c I'm an idiot who does them across numerous alts on different data centers, I don't actually have the Snowman yet. :( I do agree that the map could be smaller--but 75% of current size.

Speaking as a longtime nerd about many superhero stories and characters from back when it was still a point of mockery... wtf, people. Black Panther was awesome. (Also, agreed, generally let people like things or not.)

SIR, did you dead eye the ones that you're out of? xD I wish I'd thought to ask if Melodic could pick up Denmo, Jazz, and the twins, but I didn't send her anything to trade on my behalf. (Tho she was also really busy.)

NonBinaryNyan @nonbinarynyan.bsky.social · 26/04/2026

Ok, I love that instead of immediately saying "mine, I am taking this home," the person who caught the giant inflatable d6 from Yoshi-P's Q&A immediately tossed it across the crowd for more people to have fun with. #FFXIVFanFest

Signal in there is rough--I'm not sure if Melodic found you or not! Magenta shirt, black cowboy hat, white respirator mask, wheelchair. I think she also had to find a restroom. Gods only know what that line is like. o.O
