Going back over #ffxiv patch notes today--improvement AND a problem coming to CWLS soon. When they add region wide PF/DF matching, CWLS will get the same treatment! Bad news: The cap of 8 will ALSO apply across the whole physical data center. WHY? They're NOT all duplicates! Please raise the cap!

Screenshot of future update listed in patch 7.5. The CWLS section reads:
In coming updates, it will be possible to join and send/receive messages from any cross-world linkshell (CWLS) from the same physical data center.

As before, players may only join up to 8 CWLS at once. However, if a player previously joined a CWLS after using data center travel, resulting in their total number exceeding 9 or more, the linkshells which exceed the limit will not be immediately erased.

Please note, however, that these linkshells will be deactivated, and you will not be able to send or receive messages from them. They may be reactivated by leaving or disbanding unused cross-world linkshells.

The way we IMMEDIATELY started looking for @fisherfruity.bsky.social from Twitch chat when this came up in Yoshi-P's Q&A panel. 🤣 #FFXIV #FFXIVFanFest #Fishing #Housing

Question from Yoshi-P's Q&A panel: "Will we ever get crabs in aquariums? I love fish but would love to see jellies and crabs. "

Lively side view--you can't see the pocket watch, but you can see the rest of the outfit in this one. I'm really proud of the glam. ^_^ Still not sure if there's a fitting headpiece for it, so skipping that for now. #Duv really likes dancing. #miqo #gpose #ffxiv

Duv, the same inky-blue haired Miqo'te from the previous picture, in a livelier step. The rain has stopped--the heart shaped cufflinks are visible, as are the heeled brown leather boots and burgundy socks.

"Come dance?" Duv's Valentione outfit this year. :) There's still room to improve on the gpose, but I think I'm getting better at these? Vertical is tricky; the preview is always a tiny narrow column for me. #Duv #miqo #gpose #ffxiv

Final Fantasy XIV photo taken in game. A dancing Mi'qote with long dark blue hair reaches out to the viewer, grinning despite the rain. They are wearing a burgundy waistcoat and tie over a white long sleeved shirt and a brown plaid pleated skirt or kilt, with a pocket watch attached via chain. Behind them are the mossy stones and trees of Gridania.

Left my #ffxiv #gpose & screenshots folder unsorted WAY too long, so I'll post a few here and there as I tackle that. POV: It's All Saints Wake and you've interrupted them. Jason and #Duv #miqo

Final Fantasy XIV posed screenshot: the couple in the paneled nook has abruptly broken off their conversation to look at the unexpected viewer.
Jason, a male Midlander with hair swept into a single herringbone braid, leans back slightly but looks directly at you. He is wearing a trimmed jacket and slacks in black leather and cobalt blue velvet, glasses, and a sunburst earring.
Dubhlainn, a nonbinary Moon Keeper with long dark hair and tufted ears, has stepped slightly forward of Jason and side-eyes you. Duv is wearing a laced up vest over a full sleeved shirt, topped by a matching high collared caplet in red and black.

#Duv and Miu made it to the last bit of the #PixiePrideParty ! I mostly kept Duv's wings off so that Tome could run around, but apparently the silly book is buried in the flowers off screen. #Miqo #Lala #gpose Sparkling Queer

Posed screenshot from the Pixie Pride Party in Final Fantasy XIV, where participants attended in pixie style outfits, their Pride flag colors, or both. Dubhlainn, a Miqo'te in Pride Progress flag colors topped by a red cowboy hat, crouches on the rainbow dance floor so as not to tower over the lalafell. Miu, laughing, reps the bi flag in her bright pink pixie sundress and amazing hat. Tyr's softer pink outfit matches their hair and wings. All seem amused by Krile's antics, in her yellow robe with kitty ears. The venue has pride flags made of light bars on the wall. Aether sparkles frame the whole piece.

Windows just -cannot- with some emotes. I think the "No glyph" banner is 1/4 of what I see on this site. XD

Screenshot from a Windows PC of two emotes: a yellow pleading face, and "No Glyph" written on a narrow vertical white bar.

I feel like you should know, this is how I encountered this in my feed, which was a very WHAT moment. XD

Screen snip of GunBreakMyHeart's skeet asking if there are any other clit fans present. The attached image is cut off just below Uriangier saying "been loving clit lately" and lacks the context of the rest of the meme.

Beyshon and Miu are BEST BATTLE BUDDIES! #gpose taken in #FFXIV! #lala

Gposed screenshot from Final Fantasy XIV: You've just found two lalafell sitting on mossy rocks, chatting. Miu, pale femme with blue eyes and ponytails, looks at the viewer. She's wearing a sleeveless blue and black dress with lace trim, matching leggings, black knee high boots, and matching heart gloves and hat. Beyshon, a plainsfolk lalafell with dark blue and green hair, is laughing. He is wearing a brown jacket and cowboy hat, both trimmed in dark red. His pants and gloves are grape purple, and his boots and strung bow are both red.

Miu and Beyshon are both in Lalafell starting gear in this walllpaper framed picture. Miu's gear is white and red, with green boots and a rainbow flower hairpin. She is waving grandly to the viewer. Beyshon's gear is red and brown, with a matching cowboy hat.

Best battle buddies go to the beach! Beyshon, in brown swim shorts and soft green shirt, looks a little nervous. Miu takes his hand reassuringly. She is rocking pink sunglasses that match the flowers on her purple and gold bikini for the Moonfire Faire. The weather has turned overcast, and the event's obstacle course can be seen in the background.

Blue Mage Team Up! Miu smiles and holds a white umbrella over herself and Beyshon, who is standing brightly smug with hands on hips. She is wearing a comfy blue sweater with blue cat ears on the hood and a heart choker. He is wearing the starting Blue Mage vest and shirt over red leggings, with a horned circlet. They are standing in a neighborhood near the coast in La Noscea.

Getting whiplash, they had moved to claiming to be a 40 year old queer disabled DID system in Seattle. Now it's back to KF, though not all of the systems have caught up, as you can see the temp changed post on their page. (I have since blocked.) Do we report these? If so, what under?

Here's a better look at Miu and Dubhlainn's costumes as Christine Daaé and The #Phantom, from a quick snapshot as we sprinted to finish the All Saints Wake event. #Duv #Miqo #Lala #FFXIV #gpose

Final Fantasy XIV screenshot, cropped and lightly edited. Dubhlainn, a dark blue haired Miqo'te dressed in red and black as The Phantom, looks down at Miu. She is a pale Lalafell with hair dyed brown, dressed in a white jacketed gown over a full gray skirt as Christine Daaé. They are together on stage with The Great Gourd, a jack-o-lantern headed woman in a tattered but fitted black robe.

#Duv snarled "Christine Daaé is MINE!" & went into Guard over Miu, who started her Songbird emote on stage. People IMMEDIATELY recognized us the #Phantom & Christine! We won the costume contest! 😮 So glad my retainer got that mask. I'm nowhere near MSQ to do it myself. 😄 #Miqo #Lala #gpose #FFXIV

Final Fantasy XIV gpose, aka posed screenshot: Two characters dressed in costumes from The Phantom of the Opera sit on a dark throne, firelight glowing off the side. Dubhlainn Bree'a, a nonbinary Miqote, is dressed as the Phantom. They are wearing an upper half mask, a short black cape lined in satin, with a matching laced vest over full sleeved wine red shirt and gold embroidered black trousers. Miu, a pale female Lalafell with blue eyes, sits on their lap and looks toward the camera. She is dressed as Christine in a full white and gray frock. A red flower is pinned into her wavy brown hair.

VICTORY! It took FIVE different nights of hiking out to possible viewpoints. (Not consecutive b/c joints go wtf.) I couldn't see it, so I was taking 3-10 second exposure pics in a grid w/ my phone, facing west & checking each as I went. Finally captured #comet C/2023 A3 Tsuchinshan-ATLAS on 19th!

Night photo taken Oct 19th, 2024 of Comet C/2023 A3 Tsuchinshan-ATLAS. Stars dot the sky that darkens farther from the comet. The top of a tree in green-gold autumn leaf can be seen at the bottom right corner.

Duv caught the end of the #halloweenyap at the Library of Dreams, decked out in Barista Black Mage gear. (This witch brews! 😄) After the party wrapped, they used the Library's telescope to do a little comet hunting of their own. Once the rain finally stopped, it went well!

Final Fantasy XIV posed screenshot: Duv, a nonbinary miqo'te with dark blue and green hair, looks through a white and gold telescope with excitement. They are wearing a black barista's apron over a dusk-purple shirt and a matching witch hat. A bookcase is built into the edge of the deck. Autumn's trees dot the lawns up to Shirogane's cliffs, under partly cloudy but starry skies.

I CAN GET MENPHINA'S EARRING!!! I didn't start playing #FFXIV in time to preorder Endwalker, and it has been so frustrating that my Moon Keeper Miqo'te couldn't access the special moon earring. All of this for ten, and account wide? Heck yeah!

Annotated Screenshot of the Adventurer's Supply Kit from the Final Fantasy 14 Online Store! A blonde lalafell in a pink blouse and black vest jumps for joy in front of a yellow starburst on a pink background. 5 icons radiate outward: Menphina's earring. Aetheryte tickets (x99), Red Moon Parasol, Cheero On Bright emote, and 1 Fantasia.

That's no asteroid... Unfortunately, it isn't the #comet either. But it looks like one, and I'm still pretty pleased with the photo! Hunter's Moon 2024

Night photo of the 2024 Hunter's Moon. Wispy clouds swirl around the moon and reflect a hint of rainbow ring in the upper half. Trees are silhouetted in the lower corners, and a few stars shine through. A very distant vapor trail drops toward the horizon.

HI AND HELLO! I need to make a proper intro post again, but I'm about to go try to chase a comet. (Again.) In the meantime, please enjoy this doodle of Dubhlainn [DUV-lin] (my main in FFXIV) by @veiledgrey.bsky.social !

Color sketch from shoulders up of Dubhlainn Bree'a, a Miqo'te (cat person) with blue and green hair up in a ponytail with accent braids, amethyst eyes, and a dirndle style blouse and vest. They are looking at the viewer in slight surprise and confusion.

I figured out why people asserting "queer" shouldn't be used frustrate me. (At best.) It's not JUST that I heard queer and gay thrown w/ equal venom as slurs growing up. It's that the ACCEPTABLE word is narrowly defined. The inclusive one? Controversial. When the LG/B only voices are getting louder.
