The Forest Service closed roads near the border wall in an attempt to stop public oversight on Border wall construction and add another layer of policing against aid workers and environmentalists. They have closed these roads in the name of "public safety"

Last week, Juan Jairo Coronilla Durán, was struck and killed by a semi truck after fleeing Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers in Florida. The Department of Homeland security will say that this death was not foul play on their part, that the person fleeing should not have fled.

Lorenzo Salgado Araujo was murdered by an ICE agent yesterday in Houston, exactly 6 months after Renee Good was murdered in Minneapolis. ICE has made the same "justification" for murdering Lorenzo Salgado Araujo as they did for Renee Good. These murders are not accidental nor are they justifiable.

Border Patrol shot someone in Arizona this morning outside Arivaca. The murders of Renee Good and Alex Pretti are not unusual. Border Patrol agents have killed hundreds of people over the past few years. We know about Renee and Alex because Border Patrol was deployed in a city, in front of cameras.

Country Summary: Since March 2024, Haiti has been under a State of Emergency. Crimes involving firearms are common in Haiti. They include robbery, carjackings, sexual assault, and kidnappings for ransom. Kidnapping is widespread, and U.S. citizens have been victims and have been hurt or killed. Kidnappers may plan carefully or target victims at random, unplanned times. Kidnappers will even target and attack convoys. Kidnapping cases often involve ransom requests. Victims’ families have paid thousands of dollars to rescue their family members. 

Protests, demonstrations, and roadblocks are common and unpredictable. They often damage or destroy infrastructure and can become violent. Mob killings and assaults by the public have increased, including targeting those suspected of committing crimes.
