Archaeologists have discovered a 5,000-year-old timber monument near the village of Bulford, just 3 miles from Stonehenge. The site, aligned with the summer and winter solstices, predates Stonehenge by about 500 years and may represent an early prototype for the famous monument.

In some Chinese folktales, the Flower Spirit, 花魄, is not a symbol of spring, but a bloom fed by grief. It is said to arise from a tree that has witnessed three suicides, drawing sorrow and resentment into a ghostly form. The spirit appears as a tiny woman, barely 1/2 #folklore
