@plasmatron.bsky.social awe inspiring set at Brixton Stuart, amazing dynamics, the sound in the venue was perfect, and that drop you do on Mogwai Fesr Satan was incredible -loved it.

I'm sorry - are we just allowed to set up companies that aren't legally affordable? What are you? Thames Water? If you can't pay for what you use, you don't get to use it. You get to make money off the back of the work of people whom you don't pay? Get absolutely fucked. Go disrupt your own anus.

Four things to say about the £23bn Thames Water needs for infrastructure repair: 1. As I understand it, this covers only extreme, emergency repairs, for infrastructure that’s about to fail or has already done so. 2. It’s almost certainly an underestimate. Another short privatisation🧵

The waking hours are the loneliest ones

Let’s be upfront and honest – in 1984 nobody gave a toss about Julian Cope. That’s a little bit unfair, there were a few fans out there turning up for his low key tour in the Sprin…

If you bring central London to a halt in order to campaign against catastrophic climate change then you're a "barmy" eco "fanatic" who deserves to be locked up. If you do the same to hang on to your multimillion pound inheritance tax exemption then you're a brave freedom fighter defying the odds

How privatisation works (and Thames Water is just the latest example). 1. A government takes a national asset built up with taxpayers' money and the work of public servants over many years, and hands it, for a fraction of its value, to a private company. 2. In doing so, it creates a monopoly. 🧵
