I think her sword is very neat and speaks to her character. I keep.runnijg afoul of the character limit so I shall muse about the sword in the alt text.

Icarus' sword is the exact opposite of special or meaningful, and that's what I think makes it stand out. It's supposed to resemble a 17th-century executioner sword that was strictly meant just for lopping off heads in a showy manner.

There's no point on the blade for thrusting attacks it can only hack away at someone. The weapon has a guard but it's more decorative than actually meant for hand protection. And it's segmented nature means that rather than taking the time to care for the blade and it's edges this is just part of a tool that gets replaced if it can't endure it's continued use.

It doesn't have a cool name or a fancy design. It might as well be a shovel, and that's why I think it's pretty cool.

I'm gonna be annoying and pat myself on the back while still being fully cognizant of the fact that @/ynaf.bsky.social actually did all of the real work. First of all, they brought to life my #LancerRPG character. Yuuko Meideiros, callsign Icarus.

A tall and very muscular woman approaches the viewer while marching through a shallow beach without much complaint. Her black hair is in a short bob, and her attire seems gladiatorial in nature. She brandishes a segmented sword that is only slightly more disposable than its wielder is.

The picture shows the pilot known as Icarus in the midst of another mission she did not choose herself. This time, she has been sent wearing a ceremonial helmet that she couldn't remove if she tried.

Aw man, yeah, that's not an enjoyable activity lol. I used to also witness arguments like that in old groups I was in (what really got me was spellcasters who didn't even try to remember their spells arguing with the DM like DUDE) but my recent group and I are kind of rule freaks lol

As soon as I heard about Poppet's only giving thirty years, I created Freedom Bear. He's a poppet that gained sentience in a Cheliaxian toy store and once he had all the facts (1. Cheliax is super evil and 2. He's only got 30 years tops) he has become a Che Guevera type teddy bear

A teddy bear in the style of a carebear that has a "V for victory" on his chest as well as a red headband and a big ass bowie knife.

Maybe there could be a spell or spells that work somewhat similarly? Like you buff your shield (and perhaps give the shield itself some elemental resistance depending on what you enchant it with?) And then when you use the shield block reaction it allows you to release some of that magic back. (2/2)

I had an idea for a spell in #Pathfinder2e thanks to Dragon's Dogma. The Mystic Knight class in DD1 is able to cast a pseudo-spell when the player perfectly parries an attack. Depending on what element they've enchanted unto their shield determines what kind of spell they riposte with. (1/2)

I have acquired art from the glorious @/hejee.bsky.social depicting two of my characters from the #LancerRPG A mysterious "benefactor" with ties to IPS-N, who calls herself Providence, decides to be annoying to one of my pilots, Karma.

A masked woman in an orange coat with white hair and dark skin has her hands placed upon another woman's chin and hip. The woman she's placed her paws upon has black hair and dark skin as well as an outfit with a lot of black (and a lot of exposed skin). The woman in black is not very amused while the woman in orange has a faint smirk about what she can get away with.
