073: bad weather

p1: a rain cloud accidentally strikes someone beneath them with a bolt of lightning and loud KRA-KOOM. you can see the person's skeleton as they're electrocuted. "oh shit! sorry!" says the cloud. "i didn't see you--"
p2: "down" continues the cloud. the camera falls behind the cloud and we can see the person lying prostrate on the ground, smoking, their umbrella totally fried. it's ambiguous as to whether or not they survived the lightning.
p3: "there," continues the cloud. the camera has zoomed in further on the fallen figure. we can see a wallet stuffed with lightly singed money sticking out of their pocket.
p4: the camera returns to the cloud. their face has gone thoughtfully blank.
p5: the cloud zips down to the ground and snatches the wallet.
p6: the cloud zips away into the distance. the person remains on the ground.

p2: the camera pulls back. he raises his arms higher. "burgers. burgers. burgers." something like rain gathers at the top of the panel.
p3: camera pulls back even further. "yes, lord! yes!" he cries, eyes yet closed. "burgers!" hamburgers indeed appear to be falling from above.
p4: his hands above his head in a thankful pose as burgers rain down around him. "thank you, lord." he says, smiling. a burger lands on his forehead with a SPLUT.

(this is a callback to an earlier comic of mine called "bugs." in case you were wondering.)

p3: the shot zooms in on her. "it looks like this," she says. her face assumes the shapes of grimace's, drooping eyelids, weird shaped mouth, thick eyebrows.
p4: we've zoomed back out. the fellow's face has assumed the same expression. "like this?" he says. "just like that," she replies, still with the same face.

quickie 014: ghost

four panel comic. first panel, a scared figure points, having seen something frightening. "it's," they stammer, "it's a-- a gh- gh- guh- guh," clearly reaching for the word ghost. panel two, it's closer, they're stammering even harder, quaking in fright: "guh-gh-g-guh-g-" but panel three, something has shifted. the guh-g-guh is coming fast and heavy but the flow has changed, the figure is smiling, he's in his element... panel 4: the figure continues to make gh- guh- sounds in the background. in the foreground, two ghosts look on, amidst a party. "you told me he wasn't going to beatbox," says one ghost to the other. "you PROMISED me."

quickie 011: the bomb factory

four panel comic. panel one: a worker declares that it's "another beautiful day at the bomb factory" as they hammer rivets into a bomb, which is how rivets are applied. anyways, another worker, soldering a bomb, says "yup." next panel, the first guy says "heaven help me, i love my job!" the other guy replies "how do you cope with the moral culpability?" next panel: first guy is stunned wordless. next panel: they continue hammering. "i really gotta kill that guy," they think.
