Looks like *everyone* has been interested in Touhou EoSD: NC, unfortunately including bots and AI scrapers. Leading up to the game's release, there's been a surge in both human and bot traffic to Touhou Wiki, which means yet further tweaking of the anti-bot measures.

Going through Mandarake is truly like dumpster diving. My last run through the adult games section in their Akiba store found this insane pull from the late-90s/early-2000s buried in a mountain of pornography.

No idea what game this is, has Hitler on the cover, might've been made for Windows 98.

Finally, a good soba restaurant in the US. The noodles are just the right firmness and the broth was really rich without being overpowering, with a deep smoky flavor. The duck meat was of equal quality. @ Soba Dining Sora in SF

Can't block them easily without damaging the experience for normal users... unless you block HTTP 1.x. Blocked them and suddenly the scraping stops. The load average on the origin has been under 0.2 for almost two days now! We might be able to cut our hosting costs by up to 80%!

I have (unfortunately) become intimately familiar with Cloudflare's caching/security rules and MediaWiki's path structure, after a slow-mode DDoS that has jacked up request rates on Touhou Wiki for the last few months. Blocked 99% of the AI scrapers, and cache rate has gone from 38% -> 89%!
