I have something special planned for this gig, a max msp patch I've poked over many years, Its a bit of a gamble as to how it will go as it is very experimental, but I think that will align well with the theme of the evening. Its been some far out stuff in the past. luma.com/b9715vv8

A poster for the next Charlie and Lucy gig at pattern club:
Bathbib#2.

A lot of jittery spikey stuff this time I guess.

Posset: c'mon, you know Posset by now don't you? The dictaphone guy? Yeaaaahhh...did one of the finest 'noise' shows I've ever seen, but I'm glad to say the fame hasn't got to him.

John Jasnoch: jittery guitar ledge. He can play every single note on a guitar. Wriggly worms of dexterity offset by that inner peace you thought you were sure you'd never experience again that day she left you.

Nik Nenov: Computer Whizzkid, prone to deconstructing sound and putting you back together in the process. Sometimes glitchy, sometimes pounding, always maximum rubies.

Godzilla-Airhorn: we're just giving this guy 20 minutes because we felt sorry for him. Arrive late if you can.

An explosive cocktail of vibrant music to match any mood. Step into an infinity pool of possibility and spiraling charasmataz. A cockroach scurries down your spine of well-spent evening. No task cannot be handled by these purveyors of sounds enough to make the most jaded of flies dribble. Spectacular vernacular dracula spatula commin' attcha.

Next Friday, I will be performing live visuals for NZO at No Bounds festival opening night, I've spent many many hours working on a new custom node graph in TiXL specifically developed for her live set, I've had a lot of help from Still(pixtur), NEWEMKA and UNC, to fine tune and debug, I learned […]

On the 9th October I'll be doing visuals for an amazing artist for the No Bounds festival opening night in Sheffield, I'm working a new visuals setup especially for it, I just hope I have enough time as I'm full on booked with my other work basically until then

Today taking a little lunch break between work to go check out the event space for no bounds festival with Sam (damu) to see what the setup is like, we're going to do some visuals and maybe interesting lighting for the algorave there on 10th October

Its pretty wild how many videos there online for Cinema 4D / redshift to get alpha channel for your background. Its one of those settings that gets hidden/moved around between updates. And nothing boils my piss more than having to watch a 3~5 minute video about where a slider or a checkbox is.

various search engine results titled things like "where'd the background button go"

I did this tutorial today and it blew my mind. I always "got" the basic principles of how it works, but to actually sit down and write it out from a blank page, felt like dark magic youtu.be/khblXafu7iA

More plots on arbitrary strokes of watercolor. This time I let it plot twice, and filled the first plot with white acrylic paint as a background on top of the watercolor. I also switched to fountain pens from rotring technical pens.

I used to try and stay on top of this but I now have ridiculous amounts of photos sitting on my camera dating back over 2 months.. It would take me sooo long to go through them all and process them.. argh.

My first ever PC demo successfully executed last night at @evoke , people seemed to like it, there were so many great demos too, it's been an amazing weekend!

Photo of a giant projection screen, with crowd barely visible, the screen is showing entry number 5 title screen "return to void" by "piBaron" with description: "my first ever demo and my first ever EVOKE <3 super thanks to NEWEMKA, Pixtur, Mio Mojito." Tools used: "PC / TIXL 4.2 / VCV Rack"

Stayed up way too late last night diving back into Max MSP, it was rough though, I'm so rusty.. I had an exciting idea for an auto slicer that saves the slices to a folder in alphabetical order of their spectral properties e.g. centroid, freq_300.wav, freq_450.wav, freq_543.wav etc. I thought […]

It's been a very tiring weekend, I'm really tired. That puts my mind in a dark place. But I think I'll be back to normal tomorrow. Tomorrow I am trying to finish my entry to the EVOKE demo party drone show compo. I made a custom setup in houdini to debug all the speed/acceleration/proximity […]

This week I took part in my first ever game jam, I worked on this game with my friend Ekin who came over for a few days to visit from Edinburgh. The theme was Count Down, and we decided on the silliest take on that.. After uploading it we saw that basically 1000 other people had the same idea […]

I saw a toot recently in my feed which I was trying to find again to share with a friend. I managed to find it in my likes, but I couldnt find it if I search for a keyword in the toot, even though theres a # for that specific word in the toot itself, is that a problem with the search context im […]

I like the aesthetic of projected intersections masks

screenshort of an orthographic view of seemingly overlapping low poly 3D spheres, anywhere where they would be overlapping or intersecting the polygons have been removed, creating a jagged looking black border

some ridiculously shiny beans I found on a tree

some really vibrantly green shiny small beans, some are loose, some are in a half open pod, there is also a fully enclosed pod, all are sitting on a black reflective surface (phone)

Can't believe I'm supposed to go outside today, I'm sitting in a cold bathtub right now. Reminds me of Montreal summers, didn't have a bathtub then though
