The price of #Nvidia #RTX5090 graphics cards is just too damn high! I know these cards are top of the line and state of the art, but are we asking too much to make these a tad more affordable for the average consumer?

Not bad of a yield during my holiday trip. Add some more #vinyl to my Oscar Peterson collection and found some #brassband albums. Also: immaculate War of the Worlds, INCLUDING the inlay booklet. Also: Charlie Parker Savoy sessions, but the DJ copy (NOT FOR SALE) which is an interesting find.

Why are companies afraid of email? I got a phishing mail pretending to be @anwbverkeer.bsky.social and tried to report it via email. All variants of "support@" bounced. Then I tried to mail the university in Argentina that was the sender: everything bounced. Ridiculous.

I saw the brilliant tabbed `php artisan dev` environment as seen here laravel-news.com/artisan-dev-... and various Bluesky posts, YT vids. I tried it and didn't work. Kept the old stream interface, even though I am on Laravel 13.25.0. Then I read that this doesn't work on Windows... 🥺

I did good today. Upgraded PHP to 8.5 on Debian using Sury. Got rid of composer supplied by Debian as that is not the latest version, and installed the official one. Then got supervisor running for working the queues. And now my Laravel 13 app runs flawlessly on Debian/Apache/PHP 8.5 ❤️ #Laravel

I don't have any problems with my IDE using 2.5 GB, it's doing a metric ton of work. But #MSTeams? I literally just started it and it eats 1.5 GB just sitting there, doing nothing. I'm not mentioning Spotify for using 600+MB to play an audio stream...

NVidia made a 58.3 billion dollar profit, first quarter of 2026 . You'd think that when your profit is measured with 9 zeroes, you'd be able to ease the prices for your consumers a bit when it comes to buying graphics cards for their gaming PC's.
