Maybe you could steelman this by saying, well, rich neighborhoods pay a lot in tax so they should receive premium services, but thanks to prop 13 I bet they're receiving way more in services than they're paying for in tax.

Here's another version: Because of the glory of the home mortgage disclosure act, we can see the income of homebuyers with mortgages. Within the same county/neighborhood/neighborhood and adjusting for unit characteristics, condo buyers are poorer than single family home buyers. it's a starter home!

I don’t know anything about wine so whenever I’m in the market I just do a search on K&L’s website. They’ve never steered me wrong, their baseline prices are reasonable, and every few weeks they’ll email about some great bottle they have for like 60% off. shop.klwines.com/products/win...

Dear neighbor,
Less than five years ago, we were debating whether students should use Al to write essays. Today, we are confronting Al systems capable of bypassing safeguards designed to prevent cyberattacks and bioweapons.
This June, two advanced Al models were deemed a threat to the public. The government, lacking the appropriate authority, had to scramble to find a channel to shut these systems down.
The federal government was ultimately successful, but will they be in the future?
What would have happened if the parent company had not been able to shut down those models?
Unfortunately, these are questions we must seriously grapple with.
The frightening truth is that not all companies have a guaranteed or reliable way to shut down their Al models. And the government does not have clear authority to shut down Al systems that can cause catastrophic harm.
This is unacceptable. Humans must maintain control over Al, including a way to shut them down.
Last month, Congressman Nathaniel Moran (R-Texas) and I introduced the Al Kill Switch Act that would require developers of the most powerful Al systems to maintain the technical capability to throttle, suspend, or shut them down.
It is imperative that these Al systems have kill switches so we can keep this technology from causing catastrophic harm, and that the federal government has the clear authority and process to shut down rogue Al models. Read more about my bill here.

In the DSA, the people are represented by two separate yet equally important groups: The sewer socialists, who pursue policy for its own sake, and the Jeffersonian smallholders, who offend everyone. These are their stories.

The Democratic Party has let a consulting industry exploit elderly donors in its name, wreck its reputation and finances in the process, and walk away rich whether the party wins or loses. When a mirror is held up, the instinct is to break the glass rather than look. On why the press looks away:

Our immigration policy should be to bring enough immigrants over so that at least 30% of the students in every school are immigrants. That’ll prevent kids from turning into big babies about immigration when they become adults.
