We found that discourse supporting urgent action on climate change dominates over #ecological and #social concerns. This creates #discontents with the way #urban #energy #transition is put to practice.

This choice of #location has sparked #opposition from locals and nature conservation groups despite its promise to help the city meet its climate goals.Using #critical #discourse #analysis, we studied the arguments presented for and against the project.

We delve into this #trilemma through our research at the site of a #solar energy project proposed in the city of #Leipzig, Germany. The project is located at a former landfill in #Seehausen, which over twenty years of disuse became a wildlife refuge and beloved green space for residents.
