I'm on my way home from my 2nd RuneFest!! I don't think I'll ever get used to having players ask me for signatures. But I've met so many lovely people, I've basically never been alone, and it's immensely rewarding to be here as an openly queer game dev, showing off work that I'm passionate about.

I have a DS flashcart from the early 2010s that came with a unique code that you could use to verify if it was genuine The web service for this "forgery-proof search" is somehow still online in 2026 and it's beautiful

There’s a reason for this! If you buy a ticket from station A to B, one company has to be the fare setter for it even if that journey can be made over multiple routes run by different companies So these limited ticket types are usually decided by one and are cheaper www.brfares.com/!fares?orig=...

oh my god I found a real working Intalink information point in the year 2026. The keyboard is a bit broken and the touchscreen is miscalibrated but the trackball works! Most of the websites this thing links to don't even load. I'm pretty sure it's rendering them in Internet Explorer 7 or something

thinking about the unusually wide cubicle I found in the bathrooms at the Arndale Centre in Manchester yesterday I don't think it's an accessibility thing because there's separate bathrooms for that! It's just wider than usual and you have to do a Big Stretch to get some paper
