Today google turned on even more genAI features for businesses who pay for google suites, which means a lot more things to turn off. It automatically turned on reading all your email and docs for generative AI learning so that probably already happened. Turn it off in your admin panel here:

in admin.google.com the "gemini in workplace" tab is shown, and I have everything turned off, but there are fields for gemini basically reading anything you ever do with google.

Mobile port! Didn't know that was incoming but glad I held off now. Excited to finally check this out.

And this is coming from someone who already has a steam deck. (the concept of having a smaller more comfortable steam deck is nice)

Excited for this on the consumer end but as a dev I'm not excited for steam forum posts about my game not working on the Ambernic Retroid Thor DX 5

"This monologue means this! This monologue actually means the opposite because of who's saying it!" The line is purposely vague as an artistic choice. The movie is asking you to think about these topics.

One really annoying thing about Digger conversations online is several people proclaiming that Digger is actually about ____ and not about _____ Digger is the most "this movie is about multiple things" movie I've seen in a while. (the movie even comments on it lmao)

Nikko (Meaningless Random Numbers) @nikkoguy.bsky.social · 09/10/2026

I love all the gaps that Iñárritu left in the world building, thematic monologues and characters that everyone online has 100 takes and they're all different. Incredibly fun that the movie is aware of those people as well.

Digger needs to stay in theaters long enough so I can see this scene for a third time. (But first I gotta go see Primetime and You Can See Everything)

A reminder that #pixelartpark is this upcoming Sunday in Yokohama! Please give it a visit if you are in the area. So many wonderful artists gather each year, and I'm sad I can't be there in person this time.

You might hate it lol, seems like it's 50/50 with people. But interesting movie either way I think.

Yeah I wasn't planning on seeing it but the polarized reviews got me so curious (really glad I went)

Also the amount of people that miss that jesse plemons is evil is driving me insane.

Whether or not catharsis is detrimental to us is more open ended. (I don't think the movie makes a clear statement about it so I think it mostly just asks you to think about it)

110

Nikko (Meaningless Random Numbers) @nikkoguy.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

I keep seeing people interpret the complete opposite. I don't think the movie is saying art provides no catharsis (the audience reaction is clear there). I think it's saying that catharsis is just catharsis. It isn't power. To say otherwise feels like a complete disregard of the ending.

230

Nikko (Meaningless Random Numbers) @nikkoguy.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

I think many characters (if not all, including the audience) believe that art has power. I think the film itself disagrees though.

110

Nikko (Meaningless Random Numbers) @nikkoguy.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

Digger is an effortfull, bright and loud monument to the powerlessness of art.

I realized early on that "the weight" wasn't so bad because it's just a resource check for bottles and bricks. But the concept of playing most/all of the game stealth for the good ending sounds absolutely miserable.

040

Nikko (Meaningless Random Numbers) @nikkoguy.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

I was dreading replaying f for all the endings (initially it felt like not enough changed) but ended up really enjoying my time with it.

010

Nikko (Meaningless Random Numbers) @nikkoguy.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

Also relatively buggy PS5 release, I know it was a small team but I figured Konami would give them the resources for polish Got several cutscene bugs and 2 full crashes. Plus a couple of controller bugs that I had to do full restarts to fix.

000

Nikko (Meaningless Random Numbers) @nikkoguy.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

Thankfully I actually like the initial bad ending narratively.

120

Nikko (Meaningless Random Numbers) @nikkoguy.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

Silent Hill Townfall was good. I actually enjoyed some of the "weight" stealth sections but no way am I replaying that. (for context I got all 5 endings for Silent Hill f)

Nikko (Meaningless Random Numbers) @nikkoguy.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

Resident Evil (2026) is probably the first movie where I really appreciated the craft of its jumpscares. Zack Cregger controls your attention and timing in an unfamiliar way that getting "got" felt interesting and fun.

I am romanticizing the idea of going to a comiket-type convention with a burnt CD of my game that I sell directly to someone. They thank me and I will hopefully see them next year when I finish the next one.

Yaa shmups are such a blindspot for me (besides a couple of PS1 titles when I was a kid) I've been meaning to checkout touhou at some point because of the influence to undertale/deltarune but there's just so much of it

Heya! I'm participating in Pixel Art Park again this year! This time, I'll be exhibiting remotely as unfortunately I couldn't make the travel work. There'll be a set of postcards with my robot designs available. Please go check out the event Oct 11th! I hope to be there in person again next year :)

Now I just have to figure out knockdown oki setups that cover forward/neutral/back roll. All the ones I've tried so far feel too clunky or inconsistent. I feel like it's gotta be something with assist + web zip/web bomb.
