Stale-then-revalidate is nice, but not in places where it shifts layout. In chatgpt app, there is a list off conversations. I mistap every fucking time because the update arrives and the conversation list starts reordering itself. I can wait a second to get an updated list

Chromium rolled out gap decorations with v149 and boy, am I excited about this. The Web Weekly site has lots of solid and dashed gaps and making this work was quite painful. Here's a good explainer. utilitybend.com...

`tabular-nums` should be the default for any number that updates ( timers, counters, prices, percentages, scores, live data etc ). you can enable this tnum OpenType feature using the CSS property `font-variant-numeric`. .tabular-nums { font-variant-numeric: tabular-nums; }

This feature in @developer.chrome.com's DevTools is so helpful. Every time I get stuck on a calc() or other CSS functions, I solve the bug much quicker with it. Thanks to everyone who worked on this! 👌

I have surprisingly good experience with antigravity.google The Agent Manager view is an interesting way to deal with the agent. Visually, there is a lot of noise in the chat UI and I struggle to understand the line of thought. Side-by-side code comparison is also lacking as everywhere.

I don't understand why most of the tools prefer to use Unified diff view. In the world where vertical space is precious, side-by-side diff helps to see a big change in one glance. I find side-by-side code comparison way simpler to grasp than vertical. Am I the only one?

One thing I wish I'd started doing earlier is writing unit tests. They are pure gold. They are simple. They make me sure about the chunk of code. They don't require AI or complex setup. They do require splitting things. That's also a feature.
