It is truly amazing the sheer level of effort this country puts into simply not providing support to homeless people.

Dublin City Council has suggested limiting access to the Deposit Return Scheme (DRS) to people with registered domestic waste collection contracts in an attempt to reduce “opportunistic” bin scavenging.

The move would prevent anyone without a household bin collection service from reclaiming deposits on plastic bottles and aluminium cans, which the council said had become a “monetary commodity” since the introduction of the scheme.

The proposal was contained in a briefing note for Dublin City Council CEO Richard Shakespeare before a meeting last February with Ciarán Foley, the CEO of Re-turn, the company licensed to operate the DRS.

The document noted that public bins were being interfered with and damaged “on a daily basis”, with people removing rubbish and scattering it on footpaths in search of returnable bottles and cans

I "may" kinda believe in astrology for like, this month only.

Sometimes I feel like such an emigrant because how things are done differently to what I am used to and prefer, and personally inconvenience me. Like shop schedules. I have errands to run, but can't get anything done after 5pm Can't rest during the day and be productive outside in the evening
