A quick warning, in case there's anyone like me with dual citizenship planning to get an ETA to travel to Britain. They don't seem to allow that. Here's what the government website (www.gov.uk/eta/when-not...) says:

A curious bit of 18th century detail in Patrick O'Brian's The Golden Ocean here. It's Horace Odes 3,2,1, but with 'amici', favoured by Bentley, instead of 'amice', printed in most modern editions.
