Nicky @nickybond.bsky.social · 09/10/2026I'll need to revise first. This time around, I didn't write in order, so there are some obvious errors that need to be fixed 000
Nicky @nickybond.bsky.social · 08/10/2026Oh I havent finished the draft yet, so its hard to say what works and what doesn't! Probably both 110
Nicky @nickybond.bsky.social · 08/10/2026Oh for sure, although since it is a first draft, I have already been planning to change some of the things once I start editing 110

Reposted by NickyVeronica Anrathi @disarmonia.bsky.social · 21/09/2026Did Oleshky ever make it into international news at any point? Like, at least once or twice? I have to make it very clear to everyone who reads me: RUSSIANS ARE CURRENTLY STARVING PEOPLE TO DEATH in occupied Kherson Oblast, as in EVERYONE who is still left in Oleshky. And it's not on your news. 314480
Reposted by NickyOlga Patlyuk @olgapatluyk.bsky.social · 18/09/2026Why is it important to talk about OLESHKY ? Because people there are starving, and russia is not allowing them to evacuate. The international community needs to put prеssure on russia. And for that, we need to spread the word. Please tag your leaders. Only together can we help. 14240183

Nicky @nickybond.bsky.social · 08/05/2026In any case, I, for one, really love Innamorata so far. Its a perfect blend of lyrical writing, dark humour, and story that sounds familiar but doesn't read like a pale copy of anything else. I can really see the authors influences! I think its pretty neat! 020
Nicky @nickybond.bsky.social · 08/05/2026Its like people had made it their goal to dunk on a book. Here's a thought: you don't always need to read works that are just copies of the same romantasy novel in a trenchcoat. You can read literature that challenges you, makes you disagree with it. You can finish a book like that and have fun! 120
Nicky @nickybond.bsky.social · 08/05/2026Absolute misunderstanding of how grimdark or dark fantasy works, complains about the text being "overwritten" when.... that's just how gothic fiction reads. I've recently read two of the classical gothic novels and they read exactly as Innamorata does. 110
Nicky @nickybond.bsky.social · 08/05/2026The nitpicks of "this is too lyrical thus it was written by AI" are simply killing me. Apparently, if you dislike something these days you can just claim it is AI and call it a day. No more need to engage with a book in a meaningful way. What a relief /s 120
Nicky @nickybond.bsky.social · 08/05/2026The initial complain was that people didn't realise this was horror/grimdark and believed it was romantasy. Aside from the fact that the author had said that a gazillion times on their socials, if you open the book and read the first paragraph, you quite quickly understand what you're reading 130
Nicky @nickybond.bsky.social · 08/05/2026YouTube had suggested a video to me yesterday, making me aware of the "controversy" surrounding Ava Reid's latest book, Innamorata. And after watching a little bit of that video, I am just... flabbergasted at how people go out of their way to misunderstand the text. 120
