Never tried purposeful double exposures, but accidentally ran a film twice through my Leica IIIa. Here we have St Paul’s Cathedral inside Stoke-on-Trent railway station! #believeinfilm #filmisnotdead #monochrome

Southbank just before Christmas. love this place, going to concerts and theatre for 45 years and photographing it as long. It inspired me to become an architect. Good changes at river level, but most external public spaces feel quite dismal… 📷 Pentax ME Super 🎞️ FP4+ #blackandwhite #filmisnotdead

The picture is filled with short stone pillars, on top of them are some of the paving slabs that made up the Roman underheated floor.

Gateway, Mickleden. Rossett Pike in the background. Took my “new” Nikkor QC 135 2.8 on a walk in Langdale. Very pleased with it, and interesting to use a prime of that length.
Gate and stone wall shot from low angle, triangular hill in background, rough tufted grass in foreground.

Always a treat to be early for my train and have some time to wander around the London stations. Liked the vintage feel of this shot of St Pancras. 📷 Leica 111a, 50mm Summar 🎞️ FP4 #believeinfilm #filmphotography #blackandwhite #monochrome
A high gothic railway station front recedes from the left to the centre of the picture, ending in an elaborate clock tower and spire. On the right, in the foreground a lamp standard with three globe lamps. Black and white with muted contrast and soft tones giving a vintage feel.

The harbour, Alesund Norway beside the fishing museum. I was particularly taken with the simple lines of the small skiff and how it sat on the water.
A scene of sailing boats in a harbour. The stern of a traditional sail fishing boat on the left in silhouette, a more modern sailing boat in the mid ground, white. In the centre a small traditional skiff.

'ESCHERESQUE' . A modern Dutch building in Rotterdam, with lines and angles that play tricks on the eye—reminiscent of a scene from an Escher drawing . dave-bowman.pixels.com/featured/esc... . #photography #architecture #longexposurephotography #blackandwhitephotography #wallart #ayearofart
The photograph features a modern Dutch building in Rotterdam, captured in black and white using a long exposure technique. The building's design is intricate, with a complex arrangement of geometric shapes and lines that intersect and overlap, creating a pattern reminiscent of an Escher drawing. The monochrome tones emphasise the contrast between light and shadow, drawing attention to the sharp edges and unique structure. The long exposure effect softens any moving elements, allowing the building's architectural details to stand out with clarity and depth.

From behind, a statue of a figure in a long 19th century coat and bonnet striding towards a beach. Small dog in tow. Long evening shadows. An ammonite fossil exposed and eroded on the top of a rock, lies among rocks and pebbles on a beach, partially obscured by seaweed.

Can't beat a #FlyDay Curlew. 😍
A Curlew gracefully descends with its wings spread wide, showcasing their intricate pattern of speckled brown and white. Its long, curved bill is prominently visible, perfectly adapted for foraging in mudflats and soft ground. The bird's body is sleek, and its legs are outstretched in preparation for landing. The background features blurred water in a soft blue hue, with hints of indistinct waterfowl adding depth and context to this serene scene.
