Trump clearly has few cards vs Iran and still not in a position to close out war and pass blame Democrats. If Dems win in November and finally vote to stop war, look for GOP PR machine including red state media to blame Dems for final outcome. It is too far from 2028 to pass buck to new Dem POTUS.

Ken Martin in early 2025 talked about starting the People's Cabinet to more effectively communicate to Americans for the Dems, but has been quiet on this project. Dems need to effectively reach millions of Americans about this admins CCC (corruption crisis, constitutional crisis, and costs crisis).

The wealth tax is a good start; however, the arbitrary income cutoff of 150k for a 3k refund is not good for many families. It is extremely unfair for a couple with no kids making 140k to benefit while a family of 5 making 155k and three kids to put thru college lose out on the refund of 3k.

Dems also caved in May when they voted with Republicans to keep government open. Schumer said they would have more leverage in the fall. Now we know that at least next May and Oct 2026 will have similar results as 2025 with Dem Senators not running in 2026 voting with Republicans.

A small number of Democrats voted with Republicans back in May to not allow the government to shut down. Schumer said they would be in a better position in the fall. He had Senators not up for reelection in 2026 voting yes at that time too. Guess 2026 in May and Oct will be the same. We will see.

At this point, it looks like the release of the Epstein files are one of the few things that could end Trump's regime. It is now more clear today why during the 2024 campaign, trump stated that specific supporters would only have to vote for him one last time.

Dems do not win messaging because as a party, they refuse to speak as one on particular issues within a given week and hammer the message to anyone who will listen. Republicans have weekly strategy sessions on weekly messaging. The right also controls most of the media ecosystem starting with Fox.

It is befuddling why Democrats do not message this fact on Republican Presidents and recessions. Who is holding them back on this one is a big question. Clinton mention since the end of the cold war in 1989, Dem Presidents created 50 million jobs to 1 million for Republican Presidents.

Mikie Sherrill is running a traditional Dem campaign which is extremely weak compared to the campaign of someone like Mamdani. If you are in NJ, it is hard to know that she is running because she is nowhere to be seen. She is building very little if any momentum w/the election weeks away.

Trump himself on several occasions has stated he would replace the ACA (Obamacare) with a plan that is better and less expensive. Democrats should message these unkept promises from Trump during the shutdown fight with Republicans. It is simply another promise made that he did not plan to keep.
