I can support that. Merino takes it alphabetically, obviously.

But maybe Porro will be 13th, and Mikel Merino will be 12th. 😉

Refs "letting the game flow" when one team only has interest in fouling is basically the trickle-down economics of football.

Hoping for fireworks and Champagne.

I thought The Odyssey was really, really good. Is it the best movie I've seen this month? Hmm, that could be The Invite. ...but I didn't come out of The Invite wanting to go straight back in for a re-watch. That final act of The Odyssey just really, REALLY got into me.

Between Spurs and England...just why do I bother? 🥺

An absolute tactical disaster. 🙁

Feels like a surrogate nostalgia about South American football still being rooted in local identity, but we're distanced from the negative aspects of what "football used to be like" (e.g. the roles of the Ultras and associated violence).

Still getting my 6+ hours, but it just doesn't feel as restorative.

Where were the people calling out Truss's lettuce as part of the establishment?

I did this thing! Consider it payment for the aborted attempt at singing the "Birdeye Potato Waffles" theme that made me laugh so hard on that one Windbreaker ep.

I'm trying but the flat doesn't want to go beneath 30°C. It should be illegal to build flats that only have a window on one side... 😩

It was inevitable, wasn't it🙄 Of course the Telegraph would run with something like this👇 So let's remove some of the rose-tinted spectacles and also look at some of that data comparing 1976 with modern heat waves Because the 1976 nostalgia porn is wearing a bit thin at this stage 🧵1/23

Telegraph headiline:

"Heatwave hysterics wouldn't have lasted a day in 1976", overlaid with a bold “MONK DEBUNKED” stamp.

Must have read 50,000+ words on how to 'beat the heat' this heatwave & so little has any applicability to my situation or flat (which never got below 28° last night). I'm just gonna cook and then sleep in the pub.

The regular browser homepage has it quite high up. Not sure why this order wouldn't be replicated in the app - feel like it should be almost 1:1.

They can vote, but not regulate their own social media usage? Such a weird thing...

I'm not going to watch any of that ragebait, but I assume this a "empathy for aliens who are really migrants" thing? Makes me wish I liked it more - maybe I need a rewatch.

Mandalorian & Grogu: a cynical cash-grab that doesn't try to say anything, but does it competently. Disclosure Day: obvious love-letter that tries to say a lot, but does it pretty poorly. Meanwhile, Obsession and Backrooms sneak in and steal everyone's lunch.

Expand further - 64 teams...but then get rid of the group stage and go full knockout. This is the way.

This World Cup must already have exceeded its flag quota.
