In the Arctic the sun doesn't set today. It just sinks towards the horizon and then appears to bounce back up into the sky Credit: Milos Obert/IAU OAE (CC BY 4.0) License: CC-BY-4.0 astro4edu.org/resources/me...
Seven images of the Sun. From the left it sinks, reaching its lowest in the centre image, before rising higher to the right.

If you are in a temperate region of the Northern hemisphere the Sun just crossed the sky on its highest path of the year. This image from Turkey shows the Sun crossing the sky at both solstices (summer top/winter bottom) and one equinox (in the middle) Credit: Tunç Tezel/IAU OAE (CC BY 4.0)
3 paths of the Sun across the sky. The highest almost crosses the middle of the image, the lowest is one sixth of the way up

Firstly if you live in a temperate or tropical region you've just hit the point in the year where the Sun sets at its most northerly point. Here's the sunset position every month near Manila (summer solstice in the middle) Credit: John Paul Pile/IAU OAE (CC BY 4.0) astro4edu.org/resources/me...
12 images of sunset. Sunset moves from the left at the top, to the right in the middle, and back to the left at the bottom

The Irish U-21s faced Latvia in a Euro 2025 qualifier earlier this week, however the match programme was immediately withdrawn from sale well before kick-off when the errors were discovered.

The FAI immediately contacted the Latvian FA to apologise after some names were printed as ‘Robert the Liar’ and ‘Dario S**t’. The visiting association said they have accepted the apology and understood there was no intention to cause offence.
